If your using a Nikon 600mm F:4 then I don't recommend it. Its like a concrete block on your Monopod head. But if your using the new Cannon 600mmF:4III then it might work.

I have seen may people who bought the D5600 and had focus problems with it as they used it more and more. It would be better for you to buy either a D7500 and a D750. When you use flash there is a BIG difference between the D5600 and the D7500 & D750. I have seen focus senses shift making the D5600 manual focus. You should not have any problems with either the D7500 or the D750.

I also like the threaded metal lens hoods for my old 105mmF2.5 and my 80-200mmF4.5. They really protected the front lens element. The plastic hood for my 24-120 is taped on. That's the only way it will stay on the lens. The plastic lens hood for the 200-500 is a joke as far as protection goes. I wish Nikon would have metal threaded hoods for all their lenses.

Was your 43-86 sharp?
Mine was pretty crappy.
Didn’t have it very long.

In 1975 I had a FTN with the F-36 motor, a F2 with the MB-1 & Md-2 (I think) with 300mmF:4.5, 80-200mmF:4.5, 105mmF:2.5 and a couple of FM's with motors. This is a small window of manual meter and focus I had at the time. I shot USAC racing at the time thus all the motor drives.

135 f2L, 85 f1.8 and 70-200 f2.8L in that order.

My most used lens/camera is my Nikon 600mmF:4GVR and my D810, a close second would be my Nikon 200-500mm F:5,6G VR.

I drove over (3 1/2 hours) and arrived around 9:30 am and the field in front of the platform was empty of cranes. So I drove around checking area corn fields until I found them.

The other day I shot some bird photos with my D810 set to 14bit and uncompressed and it produced shots at 71 to73MB. I've reset it to lossless compressed. Now a couple of years ago I shot a Ring-neck Pheasant that was front lighted under a cloudless sky and was standing on snow. That D800 was set to 14bit and lossless compression and produced a file size of 51.25 MB. Isn't the Pheasant shot a product of excellent lighting? Would the D810 shots at 71 to 73MB be also effected by good lighting to build better resolution in good lighting? I'm getting lost here>

Not what you're looking for but I have a D2X that I have never used. I thought I needed a larger format camera but never bought a lens for it. If anyone is ventures and would like to follow through with the promise, offer a price.

I bought a D2Xs from MPB.com for only $219.00 so A D2x should be cheaper.

Ask the seller for the click count of the D600. If it's over 100,000 I would probably look for something at KEH or MPB.

I do like the original a bit better.

Here is a PDF I wrote. In Part 2 I talk about panning and shutter speeds. I believe its worth a look.

As I was driving down to the river in Buttonwood Park I happened onto this 1st year Turkey Buzzard feeding on a white tail deer. I use a 200-500 and a d600 all on a monopod in my truck seat.

Nice photos, but you didn't answer the question.

Well the calculator is totally wrong. I put in the distance I focused for the accident which would be100 ft, speed would be 180mph and it gave the shutteras1/25815. NO camera on todays market can set this shutter speed. The calculator is completely wrong.
