TonyP, as the Raw/neff tiff is collection of data, does it mean that one can get rid of grain/noise also in PE 11 before converting to high quality jpeg???

I just botched a slew of shots at the wedding of all places. I to shoot all in RAW with D5100 and with D1x. For some reason the D1x did much better, go figure, at 5mp to boot. Yes too will post some samples of the catastrophe...

Couldnt agree more.! As I watch the stars disappear from view most early morning at 3 am, blocked by air traffic until is just one thick gray messy sky. The problem is though I live couple hundred of miles out in the country and away from airports........
I would wager that this Global warming scare was a necessity to invent so the aerosol dumping could get (legally going). There is fungus growing on the ground. I allong with my neighbours are now convinced that its from the planes. I took some pics trough my stargazer but there in no marking on them. they appear huge.
The trees are dying at an alarming rate here. I have never seen so few birds around. Only the dear still come to the house for a treat.
There is uneasy stillness in air, we had one of the coldest winters here in central BC.. Lots of people are quite ill around here. Today it was cold again. for last two months has been steady +2celsius up to + 6 celsius.
Before this Global warming farce, thinking back to 1995- 2002 we had wonderful spring temperatures. Our garden was planted, my fruit trees were opening blossoms and the temperatures were in 15-18 celsius for March/April.

So in a nutshell (pun intended) I think the Global Warming scare is the biggest lie of the century.

Admitedly, my knowledge on the subject of jpeg to comparison to,say, raw, tiff is wastly inferior and lacking experience. But , having said that, the mere knowledge that the jpeg format looses resolution (or is that detail/sharpness) with every editing session in any photoshopl program, is enough for me to to consider taking pictures in as high a quality as possible. And, when done editing, save the end result in Jpeg.
Those are my reasons anyway since I am not good enough of photographer to be able to skip on editing.

I have a Photoshop Elements 9 and one am using the Coloriage plug in from company by name Akvis. So I am wondering if any one else has experience with them. their programs are not cheap and the one I have, Coloriage, does decent job of converting old BW into colour ones.
Yes I know it can be done in PE also without it, but is a long and drawn out process. They have a plug in called Chameleon which is on my wish list for some time now.

So again, just wondering if others here have any experience with those.
