I have a Photoshop Elements 9 and one am using the Coloriage plug in from company by name Akvis. So I am wondering if any one else has experience with them. their programs are not cheap and the one I have, Coloriage, does decent job of converting old BW into colour ones.
Yes I know it can be done in PE also without it, but is a long and drawn out process. They have a plug in called Chameleon which is on my wish list for some time now.
So again, just wondering if others here have any experience with those.

Color into B&W. Now that I'd like to see. Never heard of it. I'll have to take a look.
I have used several of their plug-ins. Coloriage was the first one I used. I use it quite often when I am colorizing historical photographs of my community.
Their sketch plug-in also works very well.
The times I have dealt with their customer service and tech support, they were very knowledgeable and helpful. The only problem I have is with their software copy protection schemes. I tend to upgrade the operating system and hardware quite often and have had to spend a lot of time while they helped me through getting the software re-registered for my system.
i have a program from them that I used for cloning. It is include under a different program name, but it was very good and basically was similar to content aware in PS long before PS had that tool.
Very helpful folks.
Could you post a before and after using this tool?
I just went to Youtube and checked out some of the videos on how this program works. It certainly is simple and very forgiving. Looks great to me.

I am trying out and went with the standalone versions of the Akvis Sketch and Akvis HDR Factory for the Mac and so far it does a decent job. I will try it for ten days and buy them if I am satisfied. I will let you know.

I downloaded the Home Delux version of HDR Factory for Mac and I cannot get it to align the 6 images I took, off a tripod, of a flower. Ordinarily I would assume this was due to the light breeze, but Photomatix had no problem, nor did CS6 HDR (although the latter does a lousy job of processing). With stationary objects the Akvis software seems to produce a very nice realistic looking image (and alternative looks are available) but the poor performing alignment engine makes the product a no-go for me.
