If you were the conservative you sometimes claim to be, you would honor their decision to run the place like they decide it should be run....whether you agree with their choice or not.

Their place, their charity, their choice...

Yup their sandbox their rules.
While it is a charity it is still a private entity and can establish ground rules just as we all do in our own house.

Forgot his surfboard.

Interesting way of putting it since I spent a while watching videos of surfers getting stoked about the chance to surf a tsunami.
I can imagine the disappointment to learn it was just a one foot wave.

On December 27, 2021 my family and I witness a nearly 3 hour ordeal in a blizzard where ordinary citizens mustered up four 4x4s and went to the aid of a UPS driver who had gotten stuck on a very muddy rural road. Just after he got stuck a neighbor with a tractor tried to pull him out but couldn't do it.

The storm worsened and the UPS truck was stuck deep to the axles. I took this photo at the height of the wait. The UPS driver stayed patiently with his truck.

About 30 minutes after this photo was taken the 4x4's showed up and they hooked up to one another (daisy chain) and backed down to the UPS truck. They were able to successfully pull him up the steep muddy incline and he went on his way delivering his packages.

It was a good day for neighbors and a cheap tow for UPS! Neighbor helping neighbor is what this world is about.

Happy New Year 4x4 drivers and UPS for being so considerate and determined in adverse situations.

Cheers Hoggers!

Here is the only one I found online from KEH for $1136 plus tax and shipping.

That's about what I paid for my used one.

Including Faucci when he said that.
It put those of us who portray Santa Claus professionally in a rough situation.
The children expect to see Santa and since we were all told by the supposed expert that Santa Claus is immune many of us ended up performing with no protection and now sadly there are a lot less professional Santas now.
I lost several friends due to covid-19.
Me myself I modified my portrayal by wearing a mask and substituting my white cotton gloves for medical exam gloves in double thickness.
The first pair stayed on my hands and the outside pair was changed between each child and both pairs were removed and disposed between visits.

My diabetic sister-in-law gets her "cheap" insulin for $8 vial at her local Community Health Center. She does not have prescription drug coverage. Her A1C is kept below 7 on this insulin. It's all about food choices and keeping track of your blood sugar and taking your insulin as needed to maintain a target blood sugar.

Having been in the pharmaceutical industry and in anti-diabetics for decades before I retired this year, as well as having been married to a Type 1 diabetic since 1974, I think I know something about insulin.

Since you have a bit of experience with the pharmaceutical industry and diabetes I'm sure you are aware that the cheap insulin does not work for everyone just because it does for your husband.

I am certainly no expert(ask me about cardiac implants And I know what I am talking about) but have you tried metformin? Much less expensive

Metformin is a good option for many type 2 diabetics however it's not a good choice for the type 1.
The big difference between the two is type 1 doesn't make enough insulin where type 2 generally makes enough but the body basically forgot how to properly use it.
Pills like metformin help you to utilize the insulin you produce it doesn't really help if you don't produce enough.

I did not fathom that in this day and time in America that there would not be some kind of plan to help an individual like your stepson receive the insulin that he needed. That just boggles my mind.

It's a very reasonable price for the lens.
I would jump on it if I didn't already have the same lens.
It's my main lens.
