Think this also works

I believe your bridge photo on p. 9 is the "Sandpiper Bridge" (actually the Bixby Creek Bridge). This is the bridge and view that was used in the opening of the 1965 movie, "The Sandpiper," with Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. I happen to also have a photo of this bridge and I love its lines. Good choice!

Now that you mention it, Dave, I can see the scarf around her chin. My first thought when I viewed the photo was that it was an old man with a goatee. But, regardless, it still has that delightful spooky feel!

My issue with the shells, Jim, is that their placement seems too "deliberate." Perhaps you can experiment with placing them more randomly (like the ivy) for a more casual shot.

I wonder if this works. Photographed in Old Town Petaluma, California.

I thought I would add some drama to the scene.

This is a rendering of another post, I see. Having this posted as a new post made me think it was your image. Perhaps you can repost to her original thread? I must say, tho, that I do like your rendition of IreneAC's original image.

Thank you. I'm new to UHH and didn't know how to post to an existing thread. Had sent a PM to IreneAC, and she gave me the steps to follow.

I think I fugured it out. Number two needs a stem with leaves.

Yes, a stem with leaves would anchor the rose, but this photo reminds me of a balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, just something innocent and joyous floating up in the sky!

I don't know. You know those tube socks that have stripes at the top? Well my parents thought I was just being eccentric as a child because none of my socks matched when I put them together; and I wore them that way thinking nothing of it.

So every once in a while when your socks happen to match, your folks just thought you had finally gotten serious and settled down!
