Thanks, Warrior. I haven't heard of Topaz before.
I've just been using "Windows Live Photo Gallery" for cropping and color adjustment, and Windows "Paint" to remove things I don't want in the picture like overhead wires, etc. I'd love to find something better that isn't too difficult to learn or too expensive
The SOOC was so cluttered and all I wanted was the llamas. All the cleanup was done using Microsoft Paint; I now have Paint.net, but haven't been able to figure out how to use it.
Not boring at all, especially the first one. If you wanted, you could try to push the saturation in PP. I think the only thing I would do is take out the line of houses.
Awesome. What settings were you using?
Switch to video long enough to take a panning shot while describing for the camera's mic what you are seeing.
Back in the day it was Ford vs Chevy and woe betide the poor bastard who drove a Chrysler. Nikon vs Canon and look at that poor dope with a Sony. It's all nonsense. I chose the Nikon D3100 over the equivalent Canon because I liked its greater weight; it felt more solid in my hand. I don't think for a minute that I am getting better pictures than I would have gotten if I had gone the other way.
Love that second shot (Autumn Softness). Nice capture.
Thanks, Wildbill. Unfortunately, these ruins are not uncommon around here. I could probably find a dozen within an hours time. I actually took shots of at least three the same day I took this one.
I see so many of these, abandoned, falling down. It makes me sad because I grew up playing in barns.
This is why I seldom look at the non-photography posts and why I usually regret it when I do.
