Just curious. Completely new to me. Colors were not manipulated.

It's a wrinkled crust (Phlebia radiata). It's found not only in North America but also Great Britain, Ireland, and Europe.

I love it!! I used an aluminum dryer tubing vent on my feeder and it was fun watching them go up the pole and their tails flick in anger as they couldn't get through. Even had one try to CHEW his way up it from the bottom. Destroyed about 2 inches of metal!!

Like I said earlier, these are Caspian Terns, which are quite common throughout the Great Lakes area. Not a Royal as they are coastal birds seldom seen that far inland. Not a Common due to its size, stance and completely heavy orange beak. The Common has a black beak in off season and during breeding season an orange beak with the tip black. The other possibility is a Forster’s but they also have the same traits as a Common which also does not fit this bird.
As always there could be a stray Royal Tern that is accidentally visiting your area but never a flock of this size.
These are for sure Caspians.

I agree with LittleRed-Caspian Tern for all the reasons he cited. The range is right along with the characteristics.

Found this:
https://lizzieharper.co.uk/image/bird-cherry-prunus-padus-compared-to-rum-or-black-cherry-prunus-serotina/

Kind of small, but shows subtle differences between bird cherry and black cherry. My bet is on bird cherry.

I think it may be a bird cherry.

Not sure, but maybe Asagena fulva which is a type of cobweb spider-and they are in Arizona. Good luck. Great shot of what sounds like a difficult subject.

Thanks for sharing. It seems most people on this site are reluctant to share photos of other people (except in the nude-photo section). My granddaughter has taken dance lessons since she was about this age. She is now in college and is still active in dance. In fact, she is helping with the choreography with a couple of youth theater groups. So I've been to several of these recitals.

And it's gratifying how many special friendships they form in dance. One of our daughters best dance friends is currently doing choreography for the studio and we still have close ties with the owner/head instructor. Another of her dance friends is still close and does photography as well as being a family friend.

Grandchildren are your reward for putting up with their parents. Very special shots. Very lovely young lady.

Thanks, I really agree about the reward, LOL. Although her parents sure get frustrated over us "grandparenting" the kids-but that's what grandparents do!!

Adorable. My daughter took dance from age 3 to 17. I love the look of concentration in #1. Also I liked the one with her sitting down smiling proudly with the medal around her neck.

As you probably are aware, the rigor and personal discipline of classic dance does wonders for a girl's academic performance. Not to mention what it does for a strong body.

Thanks, couldn't be prouder of her-she is already showing how smart she is
