So, yesterday was a special day, baby girl's first birthday. Also her first time having cake. And chocolate. Why? Because everyone should see happy babies every day.
Well then thank goodness I have the right brand.
YouTube is your friend. There is a TON of stuff on the D3500 on it, as well as general photography info, and Nikon specific. Very nice photos, and welcome to the forums.

I was actually relatively certain I would get the answer from MT Shooter. Thanks.
So, I like to surf around the Goodwill online auction page, looking for interesting finds, odd lenses, possibly good deals on bodies, etc. Found this this evening, checked all the usual info pages, nothing. From what I can decipher, this serial number shouldn't exist. Any of the more informed Hoggers have any ideas?
And, oh hey, look, it's my 50th post. Does that mean I'm not a N00b any more?
I wouldn't be all that concerned about it, they still make film for Polaroid cameras, they still make audio cassettes, they still manufacturer lots of items that are considered "obsolete", if you just spend a little time looking for them. Remember, you can find ANYTHING on the internet.
Which is why I use RawTherapee and GIMP.
And I don't care what anyone says, those mean little bastards WILL chase you. Seen it happen way too many times growing up on the San Jacinto river.
My only advice is make sure to get the hell out of Albuquerque before sunset.
Ah, I understand my confusion, I was under the impression that the header was 'Challenge', followed by the week in question.
And I originally posted this in 'Contests, challenges, and periodicals', Admin moved it here. Where it doesn't belong. Apparently Admin is a twit.
So, I noticed that for this past week, there was no challenge. Is there a schedule for challenges? Does a person just post a challenge for the week, do they need permission, if so how does one get said permissions? I have a few ideas, but don't wish to step on any toes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I suppose this question also applies to moderators as well.
I COULD purchase paper copies, but digital are free, and when we go on a trip, which is often, my ten and twelve year old sons take theirs and I take my primary and a backup, plus one extra just in case. Carrying 5 separate paper manuals is a major hassle, when I can have all of them on my phone, laptop, and tablet. Plus digital manuals of my speed flashes.
I have 10 Nikons, ranging from a D60 up to a D750, all used. Digital is the ONLY way I got manuals for them.
