If I ever see a Cardinal, it needs to be as pretty as your picture!
That is the best Cardinal picture I have ever seen!

I have a Tamron SP AF90mm F Di Macro 1:1 Built-in motor for Nikon-AF-d that I would be interested in selling.
I paid $356.00 for it used from MPB several years ago and have used it once for family photos and had planned on doing a bunch of Macro projects.
It is "like new" with all of the stuff that it came with in the box.
I have not taken pictures of it yet, but can if you are interested. I will send the pics to your e-mail address. No texts!
Oh, by the way, I am asking $200.00 shipped for it! I am willing to listen to fair offers!
Hopefully I can get some time to take some decent pics with it & post the here also if necessary.

Thanks,
Ken

Those are real nice pictures of one of my favorite birds.
Only one question. I wonder if your Curlews are the same species as the ones we have where I live in Montana.
My Curlews would have to travel a long ways to have water to wade in.
They look almost the same as yours!
Thanks for posting them,

Cindy, Nice pictures and beautiful country. I would venture to say you are quite a few miles from home!

Looks a lot like the Missouri Breaks! Not near Columbia Falls!

Keep us posted. There are some big bulls there!

Thanks joe. I'll have to take another look?

Do you mean the Missouri River or the Little Missouri River? I spent a week on Lake Sakakawea which is a dam on the Missouri River.
Is the Little Missouri in the Southern part of ND? I know people that are from South Eastern MT and they talk about the Little Missouri there or possibly in Northern SD.
Those pictures are beautiful and look similar to the badlands on I-94 in ND
I am just kind of confused as exactly where it starts and what does it empty into.

Anyway, those pictures are some that i need to see in person!

Neat Pigeon, I think he must have run away from home and got lost---now he has a new home with his plain cousins.

Nice pictures of something I have never seen and would like to.
I guess it wouldn't hurt to leave Montana every now and then!

It looks like they are forming up preparing to go on a mission! I know they aren't Army Ants, but they are bigger than the regular ants. I have some like that, and am wondering if they aren't Carpenter Ants. Not common around my home until this year.

I asked about your Pika pics when you posted the Marten pictures. Thanks for posting them. When I was doing a lot of backpacking in the Beartooth Mtns. I used to take breaks and watch the Pika's stacking their hay in the rocks. They are one of the most interesting little animals I have seen. I have also seen them called Haystackers.
Your pictures are perfect and I can almost hear their little voices.
The only place I see them anymore is at places high on the Beartooth Highway at around 9-10,000 ft. or higher.
I haven't been up there this year, and if it is not too late, I may take a drive up there before the highway is closed for the rest of the year.
Thanks for posting them, they are great pics
