Elk hunting trip

We are still out hunting for that big bull elk but had to run into town for supplies so here are a few pics of some of the elk we have come across but just haven't found the one I want to harvest yet.

Yep I bet they are! We are hunting on a friends ranch so helping them build/fix fence as well as ship cattle...so that gives us a break from hunting. We have over 60,000 acres we can hunt...it's awesome!!Nov 9, 2021 16:34:17 #
I see a lot of bulls that I would have taken, Cindy. But I'm just an old deer hunter. Never shot an elk. We don't have them here. I have harvested alligators, though.

I have never harvested an alligator, that would be something! I will post some landscape shots the next time I come into town.

Good stuff! Haven't seen Elk this year, close or far. Very dry so they are probably hugging the river bottoms, that nearly all private.

Nice set Cindy. There are several there I would consider but I would hold out for a cow hunt.

I see a couple of decent 4 x 4s in those photos. I guess I've been skunked too many times hunting whitetails looking for that better rack and ending up with an empty freezer. Now I go for the younger and more tender selections.
