There are different types of tulip trees, one being a Tulip popular which has green and yellow blooms and there is a pink tulip which resembles the flower you have shown in your post. Do a search for images of a tulip tree.
Plan to visit the only tea plantation in the United States,
https://www.charlestonteaplantation.com/We found it a fascinatingly beautiful setting, never realized the tea leaves have to be harvested approximately every 21 days. The whole experience is worth the several hours you will invest.
In looking at the image more closely they might be mirror image onto a smooth or shiny surface underneath the beetle. Some of the image (patterns of orange or lighter cells) on the lower eyes appear to inverted or mirrored from the top eye(s).
That is why suggested flipping it over and or changing the view point.
Fascinating, is it possible to turn the insect over and primarily focus of the apparent eyes on the underside; and do a series of photos from this view point?

google maps says 39 to 45 miles and approximately 1hr from the city of Lancaster.
Thank you for this shot and the other two you listed today of Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. Simply amazing formations.
Do you ever wonder how these formations were created? What geological event(s) caused this rock formation and subsequently what erosion produced the current state.
In doing some investigation to confirm the claim of 576 megapixel for a human eye I ran across this link that seems to be a more accurate and realistic view of the subject.
https://curiosity.com/topics/how-many-megapixels-is-the-human-eye-curiosity/Don't get me wrong that complete design of the human eye far exceeds any camera yet envisioned. It was the the study of different eyes that we supposedly evolved from that brought me to the conclusion that we are God designed not evolved.
Valley of Fires a little north and west of Ruidoso, and old lava flow from a volcano approximated 75 miles north of that site. Do a Google maps search with Valley of the Fires as your title, not far away.
Also, even the town of Ruidoso is a neat artsy crafty settlement. You won't be bored or for loss of subjects to photograph, just looking at the other replies brings back many memories.
ignore my comment about having to cut a paste when my comments posted it changed the link into an active link.
There is an old adage " if it isn't broke don't fix it". If it does everything your require why change?
Depending on your interests there is one site that has been missed in the other responses, that is the Charleston Tea plantation Address: 6617 Maybank Hwy, Wadmalaw Island, SC 29487.
Not for everybody but we enjoyed it.
Only tea plantation in America. It has a fascinating history. Started in 1888 by a Dr. Shepard in a different Charleston location from 1888 until his passing in 1919 then unattended until 1960 when Lipton bought it and took cuttings from those plants to its current 125 acre location. Then purchased by Bill Hall; third generation tea taster from England. He partnered with Bigelow Tea I think in about 2003. They harvest the tea leaves every approximately 21 days.
