Hi Hogs,
Since I’m new to Canon (less than a month in - previously nikon), I have a question about the R5. I may need to call Canon. My first R5 went back on the 7th day because the aperture dial ceased to function - wouldn’t scroll images, menus… or do anything. I reset, nothing. So the dealer swapped it for my current one, also new which I’ve been using for a few weeks now.

Go Back to the Dealer. He will make Good!
My question is, does anyone else out there with this camera have any ‘play’ in the sd card slot door? Mine creaks when I hold the camera, like it’s loose or something. It’s closed securely and definitely won’t pop open, because to open it takes a good amount of pressure to slide it, so that’s fine. It appears as though it is super snug, with the top end maybe a fraction higher than the bottom end (if you have the camera resting on its base). Not sure if this is something I should call Canon about or not. If it needs to go back to Canon, that means out of two R5s, I have a 100% failure rate.

So someone please tell me yours has the same creak to this portion of your grip, at the sd card door. I would feel better. I think.
