I feel sorry for a friend who has been shopping for a used car for two years. Her CR-V has over 250,000 miles on it. She would like a Fit, but Honda doesn't import them anymore. She's been going back and for with different makes and models. She's found a couple of used Fits, but the dealers don' have good reputations. Wouldn't it be nice if we could feel safe buying new or used from a car dealer. In all my years, I've known only one really good car dealer, Irwin Motors in Laconia, NH.

I've sent her many links about the most reliable and least reliable cars, but if she sees one negative comment, that turns her off.

I booked a trip with a well known company for a trip to Africa. The trip cost was $3500 and the insurance was $500. I had to cancel the trip due to flight problems. The insurance was stated as cancel for any reason.
This was over a month ago and after dealing with the insurance company and all of their BS they sent me back to the tour company. They told me it would take 30 days to get a refund.
I called them this morning and they said they wouldn't refund my money and would issue me a credit for another trip. I told them that I'm 88 years of age and this was my last trip. I asked to speak to their legal department and was told that there was no one I could speak to. I told them that I would seek outside help.
My first step was to file a claim with my credit card company. I did this today.
My next step will be to contact the Boston Business and file a claim with them.
So beware what you are buying. Needless to say I will never book another trip with them. If you want the name of the company PM me.

This is something that has been going on for years. On U-Tube, on the Amazon Prime, and frankly other locations. I tried to hear a movie's audio and it comes out as a wispier, or low volume, yet when there is a commercial (U-Tube) the audio blares. I know that for some reason the providers are doing this with purpose, that is apparent.

My question is, is there anything that can be done on a standard computer like a Dell computer to increase the volume beyond the volume knob on the speaker? I have actually doped out of a film because the audio is so low I simply cannot follow the dialogue, and this is on a paid site.
