Seriously, your brain sometimes fills in information based on past experience. Same way clouds can look like different objects to different people. I like to shoot the moon with land objects to give a sense of scale. Perhaps rising over a forest or farm buildings. My favorites are above water with enough small waves to make a nice effect.

Yep, I am banned from the kitchen from my cooking failures.

Sometimes we fail in purpose so that women will ban us and do all the work themselves. I thought the original post was humorous. Seems like it's only politically correct to make fun of men. Movies and TV (and social media) are full of jokes poking fun at men, and no one complains. Keep us laughing. We need it.

You can download a free 30-day trial version and check for yourself.

I tried it about a month ago, but saw no reason to buy it. Plenty of free office programs out there that do a fantastic job. OpenOffice and LibreOffice are my favorites. LibreOffice stays ahead of Open Office on updated features. I suspect the folks who will find the Corel program desirable are those who have been using it since the early years. I have also used the free online version of MS Word, and found that it handles most of the simple writing tasks I have. In fact, Wordpad is what I use most of the time for writing letters. $59.98 is a good price if you really want to stick to that program though.

Depending on your pdf viewing program there should be an option to save complete file or select certain pages?
Some programs allow you to extract a page and save as a separate file.

Just tried this. Works perfectly, and is free. Thanks to RogStrix.

You might have missed the boat to move over to Windows 10 for free. You should have set sail months ago. My only advice is computer technology only moves forwards and never in reverse. Windows 11 will be next. Get ready to Go! Go! Go! "But you will have to pay for this one" Bill needs to top up his pension, 😉

I did just that last month, following the link in that article. Even though Microsoft stopped pushing people to upgrade long ago, apparently the free upgrade is still available. Like any such major upgrade, the process takes the better part of a day, but the computer is running fine with 10. Didn't lose any personal files either. I would warn that Windows 10 likes at least 8 GB of RAM memory where 7 was fine with 4 GB. Windows 10 will still work with less memory, but programs like Photoshop slow down quite a bit. Why would Microsoft keep advertising a free upgrade when people are willing to pay for it? But it can still be had for free as far as I know.

Veddy interesting. I just looked at my update history and my pc is still on 1803 and I see nothing indicating that it has even been offered 1809. I may have to eat crow when 1809 comes to my house.

They were forced to proceed more slowly when even the volunteer testers had problems. If you look at the size of those downloaded update files, you can imagine why it is taking them so long to weed out all of the problems. I still find Windows 10 to be stable and fast though. But I also keep a backup image on hand just in case.

I had the same problem yesterday when it tried to update to version 1809 from 1803. I suspect others had similar problems yesterday. Today Windows Update installed a cumulative 1803 version update with no problem. They have had issues with the full 1809 update from the start, so began installing smaller updates little by little until all the bugs are out. It may work for you as well if you try again today or tomorrow. My other Windows 10 computer hasn't been offered the 1809 update yet. Obviously they still have work to do. On the positive side, the failed updates don't seem to have any negative effects on my machines.

I remember the same happening to the old Alert Lanes in Bay City, Michigan years ago. Burned to the ground almost before the fire department could respond. Met the owner at the scene and he was just in absolute shock. Hard to even put the fire out because the old bowling balls burn so hot and smoky. Even though no one was hurt, so many families had fond memories of the place over the years that you just had to cry.

If it was "he" then "he" does have permission of the subject. If not, it looks like someone being made fun of. Just an observation. Too many people being made fun of anonymously on the internet, especially obese people who have become open targets for ridicule. I have no problem with anyone making fun of themselves. We should all do that more often.
