Thanks, I will look into the social media aspect….I have been away from photography for a few years after only a slight beginning, so I cannot predict where my interests will go but as of now I think nature (birds, wildlife, with a touch of landscape) street photography, and macro. .. definitely not at all interested in portraits. Happy Holidays to you also, and everyone here!
Thank you, there is a photography club about 30 miles from here….I went once but the only two people I met had degrees in photography, 30 years experience, and were rather snobby about it so I never went back. At the time I knew little to nothing but I could check it out again. At least now I know enough to say I don’t know, where as then they may have well been speaking in tongue.
Thanks everyone for the many suggestions.
I was new to photography at the ripe old age of 67, signed up for a beginning class at our local community college, had to withdraw after one class when my husband had a severe stroke, which is still taking some of my time, but I am determined to reclaim some of my life…..Saw the sale on Phlearn and wondering if anyone can comment on the value of it, good or bad…..I am most interested in the Adobe product instructions…..thanks in advance for any comments.
The 750 does have focus affirmation….a green ball in the upper left of the viewfinder…..so once determining your focal point(s) you can make sure it, or they, are in focus when the green ball appears……I was unaware of this for a good while when beginning but find it helpful …. Can be frustrating as sometimes things appear in focus to my (old…70 year) eyes but no ball so minor adjustments are needed.
Very nice effect, (regardless of technique), like it a lot
I have used the combo hand held and achieved good results, but not consistently.....at 68 with some orthopedic issues I am not always able to pull off the best results. When I saw this with many good reviews it aroused my interest. Thanks for your input.
D750 with 600mm Tamron lens so yes I need sturdy. I have heavier tripods but seldom travel with them due to weight. This is rated at 19 lb wt. capacity. Thanks for your input.
Does anyone have the ZOMEi Z66gC portable carbon tripod/monopod? If so, how satisfied are you? From the specs and some reviews it is light weight, stable, has a ball head, compacts nicely and has a 60” extended height....would like a 63-64” but that alone would not prevent me purchasing. One Amazon review stated it did not hold up after year and half but most reviews are good. Am open to other suggestions also. Thanks in advance.
first time posting a photo, hopefully it gets there, and only once! Several brain farts this morning. Open to suggestions.
Still new to this, have had my dslr for a little over a year but for the last 8 months I have concentrated solely on being a caregiver for my husband who suffered a severe stroke, has had cerebral by pass, back surgery, three other back procedures and due for more back surgery next week (kyphoplasty....2 fractured vertebrae)....at any rate, trying to get the camera out and start over.....saw a challenge here...."wide open" and took a shot of our azalea, definitely not the greatest but I am just trying to figure out how to post a photo......the help tab indicates there will b a browse button which I don't see in the challenge section. I just notice a "choose file" below here so I will attempt loading something but how do I get things loaded in specific areas? Thanks in advance for any help
Guess I’ll pass, sounds like a great deal but due to husband’s stroke I am fairly home bound and not being very active in photography.....and my D7200 is not getting much use and certainly not a bad camera.
