Personally I think it is a beautiful image just as it is. Is it important to change the background?

Any good sturdy camera will do what you want beyond what the eye can see, you just have to practice and get used to the techniques involved which can be very different than what most people are accustomed to.

Very nice photos, I shall keep them if you don't mind. Have you tried turning off the lights?

Hello,
It may be a little late for a reply but I'm old and slow. Anyway I often take photos from the inside of the house with the door open, it's quick so no real heat loss. But I have learned to take photos capturing only the raindrops. You might be surprised at what is really there. No special equipment or settings. and with a flash you can get some pretty amazing shots.
Just a thought,
Bob
Howdy!
Maybe they ARE from Mars. Beautiful shots especially is you notice the background. Thanks for sharing.

Hello,
Histograms read from least intense to most intense (0-255) from left to right, and the number of pixels at each level is indicated by height. Therefore if you darken an image the histogram will shift left, and brighten it will shift right. The shape should be a Gaussian (Bell shaped) as possible just touching the axis at each end.

Also NCH software has a couple of pieces of software which are as well performing as any, and they are free for non-commercial use.

Just a personal comment, I think the image looks better than it would with a black background. Very nice image indeed.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you thought there was something worthwhile to see, you're probably not alone. Just let them decide.

This may sound a bit too easy, but any long convient sized tube will work as long as it is impervious from light from the outside. Then make adjustments for field of view etc.

Hi,
WinZip before sending always works without affecting the image and handles large files of any kind. I haven't had any problems sending any thing anywhere.

I have ordered a Sony Cyber Shot DSC 400HV with a 1/2.3 sensor
Hello,
Thank you for asking this question, I was wondering the same thing myself.
Don't worry about the flak from others, you'll find that in any forum.
Again, Thanks,
Bob

Thank you very much for this heart warming image!

Ahhh, Fractals in all their native beauty. Thanks for the image. Getting these type of images is often overlooked, a shame really. They are in a lot of natural wonders and always seem to impress me.
Thanks,
Bob
