Too bad, chase the spouse around the house with it, or a pet if spouse is not around.
What lens?

What a wasted post. Why not tell us what you had for breakfast and what your doing today. At least it would add some interest. What a waste.

We're getting some wet weather up north as well and I can't afford to risk my camera or lenses in that mess. I'll be reading up on camera techniques and lighting scenarios to pass the time until Monday I guess.

Of course with Easter & Passover parties I'll be doing some indoor with the new speedlite I got and I look forward to that....I think...? We'll see how that one pans -out.

Good luck with the new lens whatever it is.......don't think you told me.

300mm f2.8 II, with a 2X extender. DXO has it as Canon's sharpest lens, I am hoping that it does not lose much with the extender, talked to Regis via PM before buying it, he says he does not see much loss. We will see, hope to get down to the river later for a little birding.

Why not, with rain there is sooooo many possibilities that wouldn't be possible otherwise. Rain drops dripping from /on flowers, , street/headlights, taillight reflections, rain on glass with distorted colors as backgrounds, I could go on and on and on.

It is a fabulous lens and the 2x should do nicely with it as many here have previously posted. Good luck with it.

We know what you had for breakfast. Sour cereal just like your personality.

That lens is one of the few that does extremely well with the 2X. You have a winner sir.

Thunder and lightning in Florida? Are you sure?

isn't Florida the lightning capital of the USA?

We've had lots of thunder, lightning, rain, tornado warnings, and flood warnings here. It's pouring now, and this will be another rainy week.

Hay Haydon, you got nothin else to talk about are what. My comment was not even issued to you. Have another cup of coffee and relax for a while. Looks like you need something, maybe stronger than coffee. Chill man.

Wanting to evaluate the sharpness of a super tele for birding.... not much opportunity on an overcast day. Today is brighter and so far so good.

We are all cleared up now, it was brief, just one afternoon and evening, next 5 days sunny! Great for what I like to do best.... Birding.

I have shot extensively with the original 300 2.8 and 2X II - optically I could not see a difference - but the AF was slower and I do not pixel peep.
