Those percentages will ALWAYS change dependent on the purpose of the photograph. Example, if desire is to photograph a tornado funnel cloud, location becomes 99.9% or no photo. If a rainbow it becomes located and light.

Not familiar with T7 but many cameras have LCD brightness control in settings for over bright (or darkness) shooting? Or, go high end cell phone camera? <grin>

Is there a reason for this post in a Photography Forum. Better in a travel section on how not to travel unprepared... a simple "average temperatures in June in Egypt & Jordan" would have told you it would be hot. An official letterhead note from your doctor would have probably saved your "could be used for drugs" syringes versus expecting foreign security to take your word for it. Asking foreign taxi driver how much to take you somewhere first avoids inflated rates, etc. Been to Egypt multi times, Jordan once, none of these complaints. For others reading, great countries to visit... especially for photography.

Oh, and good luck on hearing back from Cairo Airport.

I like the idea of a fade from one day to the next, that should be something I can do. Because the garden is growing, there SHOULD be differences from one day to the next, that's kind of the point of doing a time-sequence shot. :-)

Yes, and with a fade the slight change in position is not important. Use Fade, not Fade In or Fade Out or you will have darkness between each photo.

Any video software can do this. You can set the time of display (in seconds), than use a Fade Transition between each, 1.5 to 2 seconds is ideal. I do this all the time, export to .wmv or .mp4 video I post on YouTube or can email.

Another solution is for her to get an Android phone <grin>, then just need to simply plug into any computer USB, phone becomes another drive, transfer folders or files back & forth like normal drives.

The film advance is messed up. You could have torn sprocket holes and film chips all over your sensor.
Still trying to figure out if you meant this as a joke or missed it was with an iPhone by the OP.

Cabin safes are a joke...never take what you cannot afford to replace.
So are glass windows on a house, easily broken into with a simple rock... or do you have bars? Why most have insurance.

Being a cruise where you don't have to lug stuff on the bus from hotel to hotel, I have always taken two cameras. One is more for backup and spends 90% of time locked in the cabin's safe, but then if going whale watching or something, have the needed longer lens.

Just back from Eastern Europe river cruise, for first time just took one camera with my Samsung S23 as back-up, sometimes primary. So if you have a decent cell camera, pick one and enjoy.

There are ghosts that walk among us???

Seriously at first glance it looked like some glitch that stitched the top half of your 2nd photo over top of your 1st photo (note advance of guy in dark green shirt) but then lady on right is full frame so has me scratching head too.

Lesson I got was you broke a Cardinal Rule of doing anything, let alone photography, in using a camera you aren't familiar with to shoot something important that you had never done without doing a practice first to see how things come out.

To me tripod is a must, I don't have a remote trigger so set shutter at 2-second delay to minimize shake from tripping, often set exposure -1 or -2 until find correct metering. I also use spot or meter factors in dark sky giving that white ball.

By the way, welcome to UHH.

A really, really large net and a really, really long rope?

Sorry, the devil made me write that.

Actually, I can't imagine that conversation because he wouldn't know cell phones can make phone calls too. They are only used for photos, texting and posting to social media.
