I have a Lumix G7 with 45-150mm and 12-60mm lenses and Lumix FZ300 camera. Trying to decide which one to take on cruise to Alaska.
If you're going to have fun, and not as photographer who must get cruise pictures, bring something small and zoomy with a flash. If your goal is to spend the time taking pictures, bring it all!
Fun, not photographer this time.

Both cameras if they have not changeable lenses, then you have a great range covered.

You will need both wide angle, AND all the zoom you can bring!

The one that is your hand! ë¿ë
The one that you feel most comfortable using and will meet your needs.
(That's based on you knowing what each camera is capable (or not) of doing and your needs/desires.)
If you passed another photographer on the boat during your next cruise, what model will they need to be holding to impress you? There is the answer.
The FZ300 with its small sensor will be more easily caught out (i.e. produce a failed shot), especially with scenes that have a high dynamic range like sunrises and sunsets or scenery in harsh sunlight (even Alaska gets that in the summertime). Plus the extra 300-600mm range that it gives you will rarely be needed. 24-300 (equiv.) will be enough for 99.999% of your needs. In fact anything more distant than that will barely be visible to your naked eye.

I take my Nikon when I’m going on a photo shoot for wildlife at the wetlands or a family portrait shoot- otherwise I use my iPhone which has covered all of my needs so far - national parks, sightseeing, general shots, sunrise/sunsets… My wife shoots stars and the moon with her android and gets excellent results…

If it were me, I might consider this an excuse to concentrate on improving my cell phone photography skills. If you intend to take shore excursions aimed at wildlife viewing, the FZ300 might be useful.
On my only cruise I had a Lumix pocketable (the ZS100) for land excursions. Except for the zoom limit, it did a fine job.
Being a cruise where you don't have to lug stuff on the bus from hotel to hotel, I have always taken two cameras. One is more for backup and spends 90% of time locked in the cabin's safe, but then if going whale watching or something, have the needed longer lens.
Just back from Eastern Europe river cruise, for first time just took one camera with my Samsung S23 as back-up, sometimes primary. So if you have a decent cell camera, pick one and enjoy.

Take the FZ300. 25-6oomm lens. f2.8 throughout.
