Yes but to me this looks very flat with no pop. Here is another one in black & white. Let me know if you like this one better since you prefer Black & white. I know the color one is on the bright side but I was trying to add more color to the photo and in so doing I did over brighten it.....Rich

It is better. The lighting was not that great when I took the photo. Here is one I took today of the trunk of a tree in sunlight. I like trunks to test a lens because of the texture. John

I'm always open to ways to improve my photos , please post your photo>>>>>>>>>> This is a quick fix I did in PSE 14 using the the enhancement tab. Very easy to use as it just takes a very little practice. She is so cute I just couldn't help myself and I had to do a little PP on the photo. I hope you like it. I made the face a little on the light side but you can still see her features as being blond I figured she would be on the light side.....Rich

Part of the problem with viewing photos on a monitor is that they will look different depending on the monitor being used. On my monitor the highlights of your monitor look almost blown out. When I view the photo in PS it looks brighter than when I view it on UHH (same monitor). That said, I do appreciate your time.

I went into PS and did some PP myself; I got rid of the white spec by her eye and desaturrated it (I'm partial to B&W portraits). John.

Does anyone believe you could of got a better shot with the f2.8 lenses. You don't have to spend thousands to get great pictures. Just My Not So Humble Opinion. - dave

I agree, unless you are going to make a mural from your photo there is very little difference.

The download is very sharp on my small screen but the contrast seems a little low. Was this by design or a product of the lens? The subject matter is delightful, looks to be the same age as one of my favorite subjects.

It was taken indoors under ambient light. I have to take some with brighter light. All in all pleased with the lens. Yes, my 2 1/2 year old grand daughter is one of my favorite subjects to photograph.

I love old photographs. I dabble a little in antiques and have ran across so many. I like your photo of the old photo!

Thank you, but I actually scanned the photos on a flat bed scanner.

Found this in my travels yesterday; a thrift store just north of Philadelphia. On the back of the frame was written Horace Brown (not sure of the last name). It shows Horace as a young man, middlle aged and older. For $3 I thought it was a very cool item.

The food industry makes a fortune selling food that make us sick in the long term and the pharmaceutical industry make a fortune selling drugs to treat those conditions.

Why not buy a cheap filter with a metal rim and take the glass out; still protects the lens with no degradation of the image.

John, I have seen these animals in action. They tend to prey on older folks. You and I are not prone to fall for these emails. But seniors get scared, confused, and panic, and they don't want to be embarrassed by asking what it is. They just pay up. If more senior centers would talk about these scams, OVER and OVER again, seniors would be more aware and not fall for this crap.
And yes, I think these perpetrators should be locked up and throw the key away.
Rich...

I agree. Once I got a phone call from "Windows" something or other telling me my computer was sending them information that I had a virus that was going to wipe out my computer. I usually keep these people on the phone for about 20 minutes just to waste their time so they will be able to make fewer calls. This particular time they asked me my age. When I told them 71, it was like a cheetah attacking a Giselle 😀. When I finally told them that I know they are just a scam, they asked me if I wanted to work for them😳. These people are the scum of the earth.

I think it's incredible that there are people who still fall for this type of scam.

I have used Wasabi brand batteries on several cameras and have experienced no problems. One of the batteries I purchased would not charge; I contacted Wasabi and they replaced it with no problems. They last as long as the original manufacturer's.
