Unfortunately pumped storage can create falling water where it doesn't exist. One problem with pumped storage is it uses more resources than produces and scheme to make money.

Have friends and family who despite having v*****es and booster sick from C***d. Meanwhile no v*****es for me and remain C***d free. Now we have one person who can mandate without any citizen intervention and it may be George Orwell was off on dates but see some things happening now. At one point in Massachusetts the governor mandated $300 fine if caught in public w/o a mask. Some of the masks and how people wear them not very affective. V***s is smaller than materials used in most mask yet have numerous establishments baring those w/o mask from entering. I wonder what else will happen.

I've used 3rd party batteries and my experience is no issues and save a fair amount of money by doing so. I have used Watson and Wasabi and don't see difference between Nikon brand.

I have an Olympus Tough TG series camera. With RAW have a 45mb file and can make decent prints from it. I't's small and easy to use with different settings depending on the situation and is waterproof to 12 feet and use it for river trips and otherwise.

I only save images in jpg for the internet. Edit images I save for printing with no compression in tiff as it's a universal format.

No idea what you are using for gear but after years of using Gitzo tripods I bought a W2004 Sirui and it's not only less expensive by far, much better functioning tripod as well. The legs work flawlessly even after numerous trips including 4 river trips in the Grand Canyon! Gitzos would jam up and was frustrating to be in the Canyon and not use a tripod. I also have another much larger Sirui but for get the model.

Best views in my opinion are down by the river inside the Canyon. There are numerous trails down into the Canyon but isn't an easy hike. Granite Rapid is one of the places can walk to and can camp there.

Many years ago when I first began my endeavors in photography in 1973 I asked myself what do I want to share with the world with photography? I had a difficult childhood at home and choose to share the beauty. I'm glad people like Eugene Smith choose to show the misery that others experienced and no fault of their own.
