His name is Jake for short and easy, and Jake Izsak for formal. The "Izsak" is Hungarian as a nod to his breed heritage, and reportedly means "bringer of laughter", apparently among other things.
This dog has 2 settings - "on" and "off" without fine tuning yet. Up every 2 to 3 hours for pee call, but he lets us know. Ill be 70 in December, my wife right behind me. It's a good thing we're retired.

The sign post is pretty close to vertical. The whole area is on a hillside rising sharply to the left. I took the shot trying to keep the post straight, and after looking at the shot later, I see what you mean. The trees aren't straight either. I need to rotate the image counterclockwise a few degrees.

The horseshoe object is in the middle at the axis. Looks like electrical wires going to its top to power the turning motor underneath.
