Plenty of railroad activity in Ohio. Love the sights and sounds.

Jimmy, I see all the static displays, but where is the action? I'm a railfan since the 70s and when I saw action, there was a train in my shot. Sorry, but I don't see anything. Include a train on the next series of images.

Train "engine"? See a "train" on the right side of picture #1.

I went to school in Toledo and have frequented Deschsler (sic?) to watch trains. Tons of action at the diamond, both N-S and W-E. Pretty albeit sleepy little town. Can't recall if Fremont is nearby. Mike

As opposed to many abandoned lines I've seen.

Fremont is about a hour East of Toledo. The Nickel Plate ran through town, as did the NYC, I believe. My Aunt and Uncle lived there at one time.

With all the lines that have been merged into the Norfolk Southern, I’m not sure how busy the former NKP mainline is these days; the NS may send most of their Chicago - Cleveland traffic on the old NYC mainline, which goes south of Fremont.
