I don't get these people that ask should I take this lense or that. I won't go so far as to say bring everything, for some that would be impossible. I will say if you going on a trip you need to pack the full RANGE you have available. Whatever you leave home you will wish you had before you get home. For me? My bag is packed if I don't have it with me I don't own it!

The first time my reflexes were checked I was 12 against my stepdad. I pulled his five off the table and he slapped air. It took me a minute to learn my buttons but I still have it at 60!

LOL No self respecting CEO woyld waste money blowing money into the sky! Fly ash today my illinformed friend is used to make drywall because of its similarities to gypsum. And IF someone wanted to blow it into the sky dont you tjink they would do it at night when you couldnt see it?

Surprised how many did not know this! In 49 Buick advertised "one day all cars will have holes in the sides." And no I'm not quite THAT old.

I learned something today! I truly thought he was watching me. Yes I love that camera and it's not nearly as cumbersome as I expected.

A few ponds in the area have flocks of Canadian geese that never leave. I guess they figure the weather here is mild enough not to bother with all that travel. I was watching these guys from about 150 yards and just playing with my new P900 learning what it can do. This one bird would peck a little then look right at me, as if he knew what I was doing.

I didn't have my tripod along so the shots are all hand held, yes the one looking back at me shows some shake, but he wouldn't step into then sun and that is full extreme zoom optical and electronic.

I am not completely new to UHH so if this is out of place I am sorry, it just felt like the BEST place to post a few words. When I joined back in March I had two goals. I wanted to learn how to take better pictures, and I wanted to learn what camera would fit me well.

UHH as a group, has such an amazing wealth of knowledge, camraderie and passion in more areas than just photography that I was blown away by how easy it is to fit in and learn and share. Thank You truly thank you all!

Well from my 110 pocket camera to my Maxxum 9i I was always a huge Minolta fan. That lead me to Sony, waaaay out my price range. So it was Nikon or Canon. I decided on the Nikon D7200. Still a little steep since I was going to want more than just the basics and I had a deadline. My mom's 50th anniversary was yesterday. So for now it is the P900. I know it has drawbacks. I can hear the vacuum of multiple intakes of breath. I will always be more hey that's cool click I can remember it forever, than how can I make this artistic. I have never even used Photoshop not sure if I ever will, I love what some of you can do to a picture I am just not that interested in that part of the hobby.

So I am learning a lot! UHH is one site I visit EVERY day. I love it here and I am VERY thankful to whomever is responsible for the work that goes into keeping this wonderful resource available to people like me.
