These are GREAT shots!. Love it. I am so ready for football, ready to get back on the field and SHOOT. I love the first one. The 8th one is the best though. Look at the eyes, the concentration on the ball. Keep posting when you can. Thanks and BE SAFE!

Thanks! I ready for a back-to-normal season this fall. This will be my 44th season shooting Marshall football. I have been on the sidelines in searing heat, freezing cold, rain and snow. This past season was probably the most difficult. We were restricted to one end zone. Not the best position for an entire game. But we did what we could.

Marshall, under a new head coach, held their spring game in March.
The new coach is Charles Huff, former assistant coach at Alabama under Nick Saban.

Thanks. The photos are from 2001 and we had just started using digital cameras, the Nikon D1. I was the university photographer at Marshall then, I retired a year ago after 41 years. I think it was 3mp, so the quality is not as good as the D5 or D850 we use today.

With former Marshall University QB Byron Leftwich coaching in the Super Bowl this Sunday, here are a few photos from his time at MU. He is the OC with Tampa Bay.

Thanks. I was lucky in that, several years ago, the university upgraded the lighting in the arena. I was able to shoot at 1/1250 sec at f3.5. ISO-5000. Usually shot with a Nikon D5

Really good work. A hard sport to shoot. Well done.

Thanks. I’ve always found that volleyball is hard to shoot. The action is fast and at times it is difficult to anticipate where the ball will end up.

Nice action shots; you have done well. The first is my favorite. It’s the classic volleyball shot to me.

Thanks!
