These two shots were taken among about 400 last night at live music performance. Of that number, maybe six showed these clear lines of color. the one with the strongest lines was done at ISO 6400 (1/4000th) and the other at ISO 3200(1/800th). Both at f 4 at 66 mm. Camera is Z 6 ii, with 24-70mm, f 4 Z lens. camera is just bought from Nikon as refurbished. Over the course of the last week, have taken about 650 images with this camera.
Is this some frequency of the lighting system the band uses? This only shows in performance of the second of the two bands.
Is this some anomaly with the sensor?
Thoughts or suggestions.

I am going to Budapest in December. Can you send link to your guide there?
I have Tokina 17-35 for full frame. Have used it with my D750. PM if you want to know more. Thx
I think you make a good point about the Union movements on day 1. They gave a strong position to Meade. However, Lee's commanders on his left were slow to take advantage of opportunities to push the Union positions.
There will always be a lot of study and second guessing on what might have been over these three days.
Gettysburg is one of the most important historical sites in America. Others have outlined some of the places to shoot. Go to the visitor’s center, see the Cyclorama and watch the film to get a good idea of the battle and the hallowed ground you will be seeing and walking.
The quote sums this up perfectly…you and the model in sync. In addition to her beauty, her expression is intriguing.
Thanks for the kind words. Easy to get lost in the world of British cars. I still hold the thought that I will own a Rolls Royce one day. Any vintage will do.
I think we are getting a lot of education today. The problem with a larger structure is cost of heating. Flue cured tobacco is harvested in late summer into fall. The second issue is the size of crops. The smaller farms couldn't fill this size structure because of crop size which is regulated by the government.
My knowledge of this comes from growing up in a tobacco region where a good portion of the economy relied on tobacco.
Burley tobacco is air cured. The variety grown in the eastern parts of VA south is flue cured, meaning it is heated. Thus a smaller barn than the one pictured.
Not sure where this was taken. Most of the tobacco barns you see in Virginia and south are smaller and generally made of log. That construction leaves gaps for mud or other chinking. Small size is indicative of tobacco being grown on small, family farms
Questions - where and when bought? Camera Case included? Battery? Charger? Owner's Manual? Thanks
The shot “attempt to capture both” seems to be the essence of the memorial…the attempt of the men/races to reach out. Those efforts stopped by time and death. What’s best lens for that? Try different times of day/conditions. Polish in post. You’re on to a good concept.
Mike, thanks. Look forward to getting and using the lens.
check should arrive tomorrow - Tuesday.
