This Professional Platform is one of the finest designed ergonomic Kits I've had the pleasure to use.
I shot the D300 series Platform for 5 years and it has paid for itself many times over.
However I was using the previous (November 2006) AF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G during much of this period.
The new (January 2015) Nikon AF-S 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED VR II is vastly superior for Fashion; Beauty and Portraiture. Its very Slight Optic Distortion and CA are easily corrected with Adobe's Lens Profiles. This Pro Kit locks focus instantly, has dual Card Slots (CF & SDHC), can shoot 7fps (12bit) and with an add-on MB-D10 Grip is capable of 8fps (12bit). Bottom Line: Robust build, Reliable, Professional Interface and a joy to use.

The D300s is a great workhorse and its 12 MP. are very capable of beautiful enlargements. I owned the original D300 with the exact number of pixels and it gave me many beautiful images. The difference with the s model is that the s model shoots low definition movies.
I had also a similar lens like the one advertised here. In good hands this lens shines and it is light and easy to carry. Someone will be happy with this camera.

I wanted to add a reply to your post saying that if I did not already have 300S I have jumped immediately on yours. If the lens does not sell, and it damn sure should, I would like it.

And have furnished clients with prints up to 40x60 inches. One in particular, (an In Store Display) for Giotto of Georgetown comes to mind. I won the bid for this job solely with my portfolio created entirely with a Kit indistinguishable from what I'm offering here.

It is outstanding for portraiture... which comprised the Lion's share of my revenue stream.

"...it is light and easy to carry." William you are so spot on here... While I now struggle with my Nikon D3x and AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8G ED IF VRII Nikkor. This Kit advertised here can (and does) match it very closely for nearly any client assignment. Perceived image quality at of below 11x14 is virtually identical. However the dynamic range of the D3x is indeed massive. Thus on occasions I use HDR algorithms to meet dynamic range challenges with the D300 & D300s platform.
