I really loved all of your photos, except for the wolf; you did not get him to smile.

Tubes are a great way to do macro and your efforts are excellent. Well structured, exposed and focus is spot on. on They cause you to look closely at what may be hiding in your backyard. Certainly easier now than when I started using them; I had an (film) SLR that predated through the lens metering and exposure required a calculation based on which tube was selected and focal length of the lens. Great joy when the quite expensive slides came back from processing and most macro shots were correctly exposed and in focus. (Definitely some luck involved)

Please make sure to put up more shots.

I am not too sure that I understand your issue. I have the same, or similar unit. It surprised me but the masthead sender uses a standard battery rather than a rechargeable, and this is despite having a solar feed to it. First off, is your unit the same as mine? Next step, does the weather data appear on your internal display? If not, then there is a communication problem between the masthead sender and your internal display. I don't have the manual available at the moment, but as I recall, the masthead sender is connected to the internal display by Bluetooth; have you paired these two items?

Assuming that your masthead is talking to the internal display (by Bluetooth) then the display should be active, and display all of its data. If it does not then do the 'pairing" procedure again. If it does display data but you want it in your computer. then go to https://www.ecowitt.net and register your internal display, after you have connected that display to your wifi modem.

It is not easy but just take it step by step.

Good Luck

Either this is photo-shopped or that poop-catcher does some serious biceps curls - that bag would be very heavy to hold with one outstretched arm!

A very amusing picture but I agree that PS was used. The shadow of the photographer does not match the shadow from the legs of the elephant. Anyhow, great for a laugh.

Maybe I am just over simplifying the situation, and I will no doubt be told so. There have been many hearty discussions about DOF, pixels, FOV, IQ and other factors. The original question was only about exposure, not about these other diversions.

The mountain lake images are quite stunning, composed and exposed with fine detail. I also appreciate that you did not follow the new trend of inserting any clouds. I guess that I am old fashioned in that I like the sky to be as it was shot. Keep the purity.

True that you can only see 20 or 30 abbreviated tabs of 600 that may be open. All Tabs Helper lists all open tabs and any tab can be easily located by the list. I do not customarily have 600 open but it has happened when I have been researching two issues at the same time. I had a multitude open for identification of many of my unnamed variety bonsai trees and at the same time I became involved in a legal matter that also required many tabs to be available. Even when I read this forum, I will often have 20 or so tabs open along with four email tabs and other areas that interest me,

Your arguments are not convincing. LR is a great programme and does not lose any images, humans lose files and LR then cannot find them. If staff cannot drive the system then there is a clear training problem and if a person cannot be trained to do their job correctly, then get someone who can. You can spout "Google" as much as you like but it does not change the facts.

The solution to a multitude of tabs is a small add-on called All Tabs Helper. It takes a little screen space but lists all open tabs. A particular tab can be selected or deleted. Without this aid, the process of getting back to tab 1 from tab 600, takes a eternity.

If I am researching a particular subject, or even two at the same time, I have 400+ Firefox tabs open. It starts to get a bit cranky at 600 Tabs. Outlook and a few other programmes are also open at the same time. Modern computers behave far better than those of past times. Open multiple tabs, you will not break anything.

I wonder if the OP is daunted by the Digital Asset Management (DAM) and may not understand the basic concepts. If I am wrong then I apologise as I don’t mean to insult his intelligence.
He may not be aware of what a catalog actually is, and that he does not have to build it, LR does the whole job. Perhaps an illustration in the physical world will help clarify how LR works. Imagine yourself with a card index and that box contains 65,000 cards. Any individual card tells you exactly where to locate the photograph you want that is contained in the multitude of filing cabinets that you would need, for example…. Cabinet 8, Drawer 3, Folder 10.

What LR does is to look into your Photograph Master File, then looks into the folders then it examines the metadata of each image (assume that you are familiar with metadata). Unless you specifically ask LR to move files, it will leave them exactly where they were and in the structure that now exists. LR will examine all of the data in that volume of images in just a matter of minutes, dependent on the “grunt” of your computer. Retrieval is by looking into folders as you do now but the real beauty is that a file, or files can be retrieved by any information in the metadata. This is the short version of DAM.

Now a brief description of the LR display. LR shows your existing file structure in the tree fashion that you are already familiar with. You see the highest-level folder then sub-folders and sub-sub-folders. You already have your folders where you want them, and in the structure understood by you, LR does not change this. As other posters have mentioned, you must do any file movements or image deletions within LR. Going back to that card index, you must not mess with the photograph locations as your index card will get out of synch.

That is the DAM side of things and I will now give a few words about how I use LR. With rare exception, my photography objective is to record where I was and what I saw at the particular time. Only very rarely will I seriously adjust or enhance an image. What LR does for me is to use my NEF file and normally produce a quite acceptable picture of what I was looking at. It looks at the brand of camera, variety of lens etc. then automatically makes the adjustments that are needed. If dealing with a jpg then it aligns the picture with the camera settings. Of course, some photos need a bit of individual tune up when I have messed up the exposure, or perhaps contrast etc. needs to be enhanced.

LR is simplicity once you grasp the basic concepts. Once again, I apologise to the OP if I have covered material already known to him, I was “reading between the lines” of his post but may have got it quite wrong.

I believe that there are 4 right angles in the image, the frame is there for a reason, it forms part of the image.

"So I got a Sony 16-250 mm aps-c lens that would give me a wide side.
[/quote]

Maybe my thinking is incorrect, thus I seek advice.
I recently purchased a used, but brilliant condition 10-24 Nikkor DX for my D5100. Side issue, it cost me just short of $120 USD and I think that I bought a bargain.
Anyhow it was this purchase that brought to mind the aspect of whether the short end 10mm is really any wider than a 15mm on a FF. I came to the conclusion that the lens is what it is, namely a 10-24mm but DX lens or not, it still performs like a 15-36mm on a FF. I also came to the conclusion that it may not be possible to get any really wide lens for a DX camera. (Short of going to a fish-eye)

I look forward to advice on this subject.

I love your shot and I am so glad that you did not get caught up in the current fetish of injecting dramatic cloud effects, somewhat overdone these days. Of course this is just my opinion and many may disagree.

"At this point in time" we should perhaps retire this thread. I always thought that time progressed quite smoothly and was without points. Of course I am technically wrong as I seem to recall that atomic clocks were adjusted by a leap second some time ago. Is that a point in time?
