Here’s a little tip for you, though I think I agree with what you seem to be saying: Proof read your post before you send it.
Always.
Thanks for replying.
I don't post here often and there are various reasons. However, thank you for COMPLETELY beating me to this punch line. It's quite obvious that both sides of this are very passionate about their view. So passionate, that very basic grammar sk**ls are being disregarded in favor of making a quick post. If cooler heads could prevail, real discussions (read that as debate) would happen.
Oddly enough, even though I feel both sides have already kicked the proverbial dead horse, I'll toss my $0.02 in...
Maintenance items to address: Yes, I'm firearms enthusiast, I'm Republican (mostly), and I v**ed for Trump. My wife and I both have our CHL. I travel extensively for my job and like the insurance of knowing she can protect and / or defend the family (we have five children 18, 17, 13, 9, 8) in my absence.
Having said that, I have attended the Ohio H****r Education course four times. Once myself, and once with each of the three oldest children when they respectively reached the age of 12. I'll also attend an additional two times when the younger two are old enough. Why? Because the primary principle of the course is to teach gun safety. We are not a "hunting family" but we very much are a "communicate openly with our kids family."
When you remove the curiosity from children, they are smarter and safer. I'm sure I'll get flamed for the analogies, but..."Don't touch the oven." "Look both ways before crossing the street." "Don't talk to strangers." "If you're at a friends house and "Timmy" pulls out a gun; run away. Leave." "If you see something, hear something, know something than say something." All reasonable advice for anyone of any age.
The point of my rant (should you choose to call it that) is communication. More people need to listen first, talk later. A close friend of mine says: "The good Lord (If that is your belief.) gave us two ears and one mouth for a reason. We should listen twice as much as we speak."
I love America and it's a great country to call home. I thank and appreciate the service of any person who has served to defend The F**g, our freedoms, our liberty, and the tyranny being experienced by others. I also appreciate the fact that anyone can hide behind a keyboard and wield the grammatical prowess of a 3rd grader, spewing any misinformation they recently digested on any left-wing or right-wing website (Yes, there are crazies on both sides.). Those same people have the right to post their poor grammar lies for all the world to see and then burn Old Glory...while posting it YouTube. All freedoms guaranteed by The Constitution, protected those who choose to serve (and some who didn't choose in Vietnam), and often overlooked by the angriest citizens of America...the ones who choose to speak more than they listen.
Thank you for sharing the original post and thanks to those (on both sides) who actually have a cooler head. Wouldn't it be great if all this was one big April Fools joke?!?
