It's that time again, nearing the end of another year of trying to get that perfect picture. It's not easy to decide which image might be the best one you've taken this year, but let's give it a go. I've narrowed my own favorites down to two, but I'm going to flip a coin and pick only one to post. Can you do the same?
No rules, processed or SOOC, any genre, technically perfect or not. It's not a contest, no judges, just a way to share the shot you consider your best with the rest of us.

Well, one of my favorites

I'm gunna go with this one.
I don't know my 'best', and I have more than one favorite. This is one of them:

Thanks for contributing to the thread, digit-up! Both are really nice, which is your pick?

Well done, vonzip! Love the reflections in this. Excellent contribution to the 'Best-of' thread!

Thanks for contributing this beauty, Mark! 'Best' is obviously subjective--as is 'favorite,' but this a great shot!

Spectacular, Mark. That is truly impressive. RJM

I'm sorry about the double, I screwed up when trying to post the first one, and then subsequently picked one I liked better. I once captioned the duck pic As" hey girl (GIRL-DUCK) I'm on one foot for you, impressed?? Maybe not. Anyway, I didn't intend to input TWO pics. RJM
I had a few, but collecting all of the ancillary aspects, this is probably the one I'd have to go with.

Great contrast, swell B&W of a great tourist spot. RJM
One of my favorites from this summer. This is a male Middle American Pearlwing (Anisagrion allopterum) with his lunch that I shot on a dragonfly expedition to central Costa Rica. Best seen in the download.

Like you I found more than one that I mulled over and came up with this one. I picked it because it tells a story, holds interest, at least mine, and is a pleasant change from all the static shots I made of landscapes, just wildlife, people, etc. This candid shot is set in Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone, June 2017. I will leave it up to the viewers imagination as to what happened next.
