Sorry Bill but don't mean to upset the happy wife syndrome. For 3500 that Sigma gets great reviews for 1/2 the price of the Canon counterpart. Found a used 1dx considering that for another body since it's high burst rate works well for sports

Looking at the Sigma 120-300 2.8 sport for my hockey shooting. Also the sigma 150-600mm for baseball. What's you opinion on these lenses? Also the Canon 100-400 L is ii. I'm concerned it may be to slow for indoor hockey without bumping up to a high iso.

Looking to purchase a new camera and lens. 5dmkiv and either Canon 100-400 is ii or Sigma 120-300mm 2.8 sport. I shoot Baseball in the summer and the Canon should be ok for outside. But inside shooting hockey is my main concern. Don't want to purchase the canon if it wont be fast enough for shooting indoors.
So would you say the 100-400 on the 5dmkiv would work indoors for college hockey. Arena is fairly well lit.
Canon 100-400 IS II Im sure works well for outdoor such as baseball. Indoors shooting hockey do you thinks i can get away with the slower lens the Sigma 120-300 is a 2.8. Can the 5dmk4 still perform with a higher iso. I currently shoot 3500 iso with my 70-200 2.8

Thanks ultimately I would love a used 1DX whats a shutter count thats acceptable? 100000 or less. I see some on ebay 2500 and up. 14fps would be perfect for my sports of choice Hockey and Baseball

Thanks yes kinda feel the same I want the best of both worlds. Going to be attaching the sigma 120-300 2.8 sport lens. Do you any feedback on this lens for sports. Also with the 5dmkiv touch screen can you still attach a screen protector.

Will the Canon 100-400mm be fast enough for indoor hockey and outdoor baseball
About to purchase a sigma 120-300 2.8 sport. And a 150-600 sigma 5-6.3 contemporary lens. And a 5d mkiii body. My question is should i purchase the 150-600 for 1000.00 or just use the 120-300 with my 7d crop or add a 1.4 tc to the 120-300 and use that 1000.00 to buy the 5dmkiv body instead of the 5dmkiii. I shoot baseball in summer and hockey in the winter.
