Beautiful. Where were you?
I brought my tripod and was glad I did. Used primarily on the ship but a few times on land as well.
I have found that also to the point that I check my iso setting thinking I had set it too high and I had not. I think the most important thing to remember is to run it first prior to any other post processing.
Ken I would do several days either before or after business. Any further suggestions and thank you.
The first week in February I have a for business trip to LA. Any suggestions for a photography side trip? I’m not familiar with LA having not been there in 20+ years. Someone mentioned Death Valley. Is that a realistic add on? If it is where would you go and where would you stay? Thanks in advance.
Converted H-alpha. Could you explain that further. Infrared?

Several older cameras. Do not know what they are. Belonged to my Grandfather.
I generally speaking ask a FB group called Lightroom Help Group - they are really good and quick to respond. There may be a Lightroom group in this forum too. Meanwhile it would be good to post a picture.
Possibly need to calibrate your monitor is another thought. Do you do that regularly? I’m stymied.
You should be able to see as you are working in the preset the saturation of whatever preset you chose. You can edit the preset prior to returning to Lightroom. Lightroom will not add adjustments to color.
I live in RI. The train station itself is a photographic opportunity. If you are staying in Kingston there are farms, ponds that you’ll find worthy.
Are you visiting other areas of the state? How long is your stay? Rhode Island has many beautiful areas. I hope you have time to see them.
I too just returned from a Princess Cruise 3 weeks ago. I am a Nikon user and the information I received from this group was invaluable. I also had a balcony room but spent little time there.
I brought a 24-70 and a 28-300. I was perfectly happy with the choice of lenses. I handheld on the glacier taking the same excursion you are signed up for. You will be assigned a seat in the helicopter. It is very tight quarters in the back. Bring your cell phone you won’t be able to maneuver your camera. If in the front you will.
For Glacier Bay bring a light weight tripod. Go the top deck or if on Princess go to the 10th deck and there is a deck on the bow.
I purchased and returned several new backpacks and ended up using my Think Tank roller bag. Regardless of what is said about limited space there is room to bring it. Hope this helps. It was such a wonderful trip and photographic journey.
You can change the 51 focus points simply enough by holding in the AF button on the left and moving the front selector wheel your focus point changes.
The advice above further shares with you how you may use these focus points.
I’ve been reading it for years. Very good information. Well done. Only recently stopped for no other reason than I’m reading other material now.
We are departing on the 28th of this month. I am bringing my D850, my 24-70 and my 28-300. I am considering bringing my IR D7100 with a 24-120. I just left the travel agency and the size limitation for carry ons for the motor coach, and train is 17x14. Hope this helps. P.S. I may replace 300 for 70-200 but 309 is much lighter
