Actually I have met many fine, generous, intelligent, talented, helpful, congenial, friendly and loving people in NYC and Jersey across the river. Unfortunately Richard is missing from that list. lol
I was twenty-one when I found that Damn Yankee is two words!
I'm waiting for your pics of the TBM-3 or the TBF-1. I have been privileged to see one flying. It's a shock to see one up close . . . it's a BIG airplane.
Oh...and this is a big one: The background is JUST as important as the subject. Be sure you do not have a BG too busy, too bright, too colorful (or colors that clash).
You want the background to be pretty much out of focus, so shoot at an aperture that is forgiving enough for the subject but will still soften the background. (f5.6 usually works well)
Frency, I've seen this before on other networks. I don't think there's any doubt that Mitt Romney is a nice person, although one that has a personality challenge. The issue is, I don't agree with any of his policies on governing not that I think he's from the evil empire. Somewhere Americans seem to want to make this an I love him but I hate him contest and that really misses the point. It's about our future.
A politician's religious practices have no bearing on that person's ability to carry out their responsibilities. There is no religion in government and it should stay that way. As far as Romney is concerned he is more than likely a heretic masquerading as a Mormon in order to enhance his finances. The fact that he is NOT a Christian is of no consequence and should not be taken into account. His blueprint for government is the real worry. This man will dismantle key government departments to satisfy the backers of the Republican casting the masses into wind and causing untold suffering on those in the most need.

And the government needs to keep its arse out of religion.
You have to go into the menu and set the function of the AF-L/AE-L button to AE-L only. Then it will only lock the exposure but not the focus. Then you can meter on one spot push the button down and then recompose and focus on another spot. I have my D700 set up this way so I can meter on a gray card then recompose it right out of the picture to take the shot.
I was a little pissed when i shot a wedding this weekend and someone comes up to me and says they are buying my camera because it takes awesome pics. How come everyone thinks it is the camera and not the photographer? Oh well maybe it is just me i just felt insulted......
Along this same line of thinking . . . hardly anyone ever asked Hemingway what kind of typewriter he used.
I highly recommend Thom Hogan's "Complete Guide to the Nikon 5100." Over 600 pages of valuable info and a little pricey, but it has been well worth it to me.
