First and foremost — *Canon will not charge you for help*!! You’ve dialed a spoofing number. Go to USA.canon.com (on tablet and don’t know how to copy exact link) and then find their ‘support’ page for the correct phone number.

But also, I would agree with the several comments about using 3d party inks - especially the ‘bargain’ brands. (There are some, such as precisioncolors.com that have reputations for top quality products and good communication with customers.)

You may have to purchase and install a new print head - probably around $200 to $300 - or just replace the printer with a newer Pro-200 model. OEM ink is less expensive on the newer Pro-200, but still not cheap.

Let us know your final decision/results - and good luck!

Here is the official Canon USA support page for the Pro-100:

https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/pixma-pro-100

Go there, register your product and the request support.

There may be a fee for out of production products but it won't be a scam.

The best way to avoid all the scam support folks is to go, on the web, to the official site for the product and call the number you get there. Don't just google "XYZ support" and dial a number that shows up.

According to ProGrade Sony has a low resolution format that ProGrade's recovery program cannot help. Nothing about this when they sell you the memory cards.

The recovery software has nothing to do with the reader or the memory cards. It is a $50 separate product and the website has a selection box the try the software to see if it will work on your files before you pay.

The R6 II is not supported in LrC 12.5, which is the latest available release. LrC 13 is slated for release later this month, and will most likely include support. I expect it to release around Adobe Max, which starts today.

LrC 13 released today. R6MkII on the list.

Thank you, I don’t think it is compatible yet. I will have to go through EOS Utility first.

LrC 13 will probably be released by the end of October. It might be compatible. Many folks are having connection issues with USB and EOSU 17.

I have the R6 Mark ii and trying to teather to my computer as I have a large shoot to do and it will not link. Im running Ventura 13.6 and have the latest update to Lightroom. Im using a new Teather Pro cable and have Eos utility 3 installed but would like to go directly through Lightroom, and suggestions?

There is a USB connection issue with Ventura and EOS Utility. If you open Apple Image Capture app does it recognize your camera? That will at least confirm connection and compatibility with your hardware.

Lightroom may not be compatible with R6 Mk II yet. Latest page I could find was August 3 and Adobe was saying it wasn't.

I wish Apple used numbers for its OS. Unless you're really into it, there's no way to know where each one fits into the overall picture. My 2012s have reached their update limit, but the M1 is still good for updates.

They do. Sonoma is macOS 14.

Sonoma has been a nightmare for me. A whole bunch of apps wouldn't run, including PSE. After several weeks, Apple began installing fixes, and one by one the apps became functional (except for PSE).

There's another update coming tonight.

Don't be in a hurry to upgrade.

Mark

Are you talking about Sonoma? It was just released Tuesday.

Hi all,
I currently own and use a Nikon D850, a Nikon D700, and once in a great while a Nikon Coolpix E5000. The latter two use CF cards, while right now I’m just using an SD card for the 850, though I plan on getting a CF Express card at some point (the 850 is a late build.)
I’m wondering if there’s a card reader that can accommodate a CF, SD, and CF Express. Any recomendations?

Don’t skimp on a CFExpress reader. Prograde Media makes a good CFe/SD reader. Then get a generic CF reader.

My pro-100, and two hp office printers all work fine on my MacBook Air m-1. The pro100 is wired up. Be sure everything is on the same Wi-Fi network. Then you should be able to use AirPrint just fine. I have a third hp desktop in a different state and when I’m there with my laptop and have changed to that network, everything works seamlessly.

Slight terminology clarification. AirPrint is an Apple printing system/driver; it will work over Wi-Fi but shouldn’t be confused with Wi-Fi printing.

The latest Canon driver for the Pro-100 from the Canon site works with Ventura or earlier with a Wi-Fi connection on an M2 MacBook Air.

When adding a printer the Canon driver could take several minutes to show up, so folks sometimes select the first driver that appears (which is the Apple AirPrint driver). It is a very limited capability driver and folks complain that their printer doesn’t work as it used to.

I just purchased a Macbook Pro M1 for my photography needs. I should have done more research. First I find that my Canon printers (a wide format and an all in one) are not compatible. No matter how they are configured, I cannot select paper type (only photo paper). Same result for Photoshop or Apple Photos. Second , some of my photoshop plugins that I frequently use will not install. It does not matter which version of Photoshop that I use.
Unfortunately, I will be returning this item.

1. Check that you have the latest driver by going to the Canon support sites for your printers.

2. When adding the printer wait for the Canon IJ Series version of the driver to appear. It could take several minutes. It sounds like you have the Apple Air Print version of the driver.
