Saying several things, but mainly that the less expensive Tamron does quite well in my book. And I did like what saw and see daily.

Size and weight were big issues for me. I love my Canon 5D MkII and still use it on occasion. But now my daily is my SonyA7C with a 28-200mm f2.8-5.6 telephoto.
Got the above lens for my Sony A7C. A few photos taken Wednesday? Thoughts?
This is true. While others my be critical, that is only because they do not see what you see, what caused to take the photo in the first place.
A very similar photo I took recently with my Sony A7C with a 85mm f1.8 prime at f5.6, ISO 100, 1/1600sec.
I live on an island taking a stroll on Memorial Day. The attached said something to me about how some people feel.
Thanks. Hope I can learn some new things here just having moved from a 5DMkII to a Sony A7C to eliminate some weight for carry around relief!
Yes. This is the place. A nuclear bomb lays awash in the Atlantic Ocean about a mile from Tybee somewhere in Warsaw Sound.
Hello folks. I’ve been taking photographs somewhat seriously since 1968. First camera was a Canon Pellix. For several years I used an old Leica IIIf to teach myself some basic understanding of light without meters and the other various “rules” of the trade. I later acquired a Canon F-1 in the mid 70s and several lenses. It too served me well. Set for a trip to Europe in 1999, I traded the whole kit for a Leica M6 with 35mm and 90mm lenses and a bunch of cash. Intrigued by digital, I later bought a Canon 30D. In 2008? I sold the Leica and jumped into digital with a Canon 5 D MkII which has served me well over the years. I still have it. An outstanding camera. Now, feeling weight of the Canon and missing my Leica street camera, I just purchased a Sony A7C with the 28-60 kit lens. The tech has advanced so much I’m asea with the thing. The lcd is awash with so much data that seems unnecessary. The EVF is less complicated but I find it difficult to see what’s in/out of focus. I’ve had a few very sharp decent photos of nonsense to test it out. FB folks like the pics, but… so there you have it.
I've been using a Blackrapid on my Canon 5D MkII and haven't given it a thought. It's 10x better for me than the conventional strap. I tend to agree with some of the analyses presented re the strength of the screw mount. I think you'd have to do something really extreme to break the base plate.
I've been using Aperture for 5-6 years now and find it easy to use and intuitive like most of the Apple programs. Given Jobs distaste for Adobe, I find it hard to accept that Apple will abandon us to LR which I have and tried using on several occasions when it can "find" the photo I just imported! This is so intricate I can only hope the Photo for OS X will be as good as Aperture.
Check out Apertureexpert.com. It made me feel a lot better about this.
