Hello folks. I’ve been taking photographs somewhat seriously since 1968. First camera was a Canon Pellix. For several years I used an old Leica IIIf to teach myself some basic understanding of light without meters and the other various “rules” of the trade. I later acquired a Canon F-1 in the mid 70s and several lenses. It too served me well. Set for a trip to Europe in 1999, I traded the whole kit for a Leica M6 with 35mm and 90mm lenses and a bunch of cash. Intrigued by digital, I later bought a Canon 30D. In 2008? I sold the Leica and jumped into digital with a Canon 5 D MkII which has served me well over the years. I still have it. An outstanding camera. Now, feeling weight of the Canon and missing my Leica street camera, I just purchased a Sony A7C with the 28-60 kit lens. The tech has advanced so much I’m asea with the thing. The lcd is awash with so much data that seems unnecessary. The EVF is less complicated but I find it difficult to see what’s in/out of focus. I’ve had a few very sharp decent photos of nonsense to test it out. FB folks like the pics, but… so there you have it.

Tybee Island! Nice place. Spent a few days there a while back. Mid winter. So much snow/ice that one of the bridges was closed. I still have a Leica III but I'm hanging on to it!
