I need an external hard drive for my IMac computer to back up photos. I have heard that Western Digital is good. I need advice on what to buy. Which is reliable and long lasting?
How do I get just my photos to go to the backup drive and not all other info? Do I need more than one and what size?

Would it be better to have Lightroom 6 downloaded into my IMac computer or purchase a hard copy for $8 more?

Thanks

I have several editing apps on my Mac computer. I have OnOne, Elements 11, and Nikon x2. When I put in my SD card everything imports to the Nikon app. How do I get it to go to OnOne? Pls make it simple instructions. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for that information blackest. We may be returning it.

The epson wf3620 is not really designed for photo printing more for office work. The reviews showed quite grainy pictures.

However if your pictures are not grainy on screen at 100% and don't need noise reduction try printing at 360 dpi that should be optimal for the epson.

If your pictures are too low resolution you will not get good results either.

really you want a printer not a multifunction machine usually with 5 or 6 inks.

We have HP printer that we were told would print good photos. Never has. We calibrated the HP with no good results. Yes, we have new inks in the printer.

We just purchased an EpsonWF3620 to print out some photos from the camera. We also calibrated our Mac monitor with a new colormunki Smile by x.rite Pantone.
Px is that neither the old or new printer is printing out any decent photos. We used photo paper. In fact, the new printer photos were more grainy that the old printer's photos.

Does anyone have any advice. I'm very frustrated with not being able to print any good photos.

Bill's eyes attract me. The beards in both are great but Bill's beard is more outstanding.
I love your use of light. Both photos are wonderful and are subject to telling individual stories.
What camera, lens, and settings did you use?
Thanks for sharing.

I am not a professional photographer but very much enjoy making the best of my photos.
Question is: Which would be the best Lightroom to buy, the 5 or the 6. I have Elements 9 and 11, NX2, and OnOne Suite 8.5.
I do not want the Cloud combination at $9.95/month.
Is there an advantage of ordering a hard copy of LR?
Please advise.

Mark That's a Lumix zs50. Fairly new.

I'm not familiar with the ZS8, but it must be pretty old. Given the improvement in sensors and processors I expect the new ZS50 would be better than the ZS8.

Thanks for reminding me that I need a viewfinder. Most pocket-sized cameras do not have one. After researching I found that the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS50 has a VF and a great zoom of 30x. We enjoyed the zoom 20x on our old Panasonic. Tell me please, that by getting this camera with the 30x zoom, would I be sacrificing anything quaility-wise on this camera?

Thanks for everyone's input.

i also have the older canon s90 my biggest issue with it is NO VIEWFINDER. I find it very difficult to take photos when it is bright outside using the lcd panel. The sony rx100 M3 has a popup viewfinder can shoot manual and raw and everything else including awesome auto modes. it also has a pop up flash on a little spring that can be bent back and held to bounce the flash. All in all it is a very awesome camera.
