Always nice to pull off a decent 'special' shot when things are jamming.
Question ... the speed light looks like it was bounced off the wall, would that be correct?
Thanks everyone for the kudos ...
Have a wedding to shoot this Saturday so the new equipment will get a workout
Taken last evening in my little neck of the woods.
Shot in jpeg at ISO-4000
Sony a7 III, Sony 35mm f/1.4, 1/250, f/16, ISO-4000
New camera setup, in hindsight I would of probably shot at 1/40, f/16, ISO-640. The F/16 was to get that nicely defined starburst.
The nice thing is having complete confidence at shooting high ISO in jpeg without having to fuss with it much.

Good laugh Jay .... thank you :)
I understand ED's take but I must say my change to Sony was for three main issues.
1. The higher ISO usage .... I'm talking very usable up to 10,000 and even higher with a bit of noise reduction but 10,000 straight out of the camera looks pretty darn good.
2. Live EVF .... you get what you see, no need to chimp. You can look at the changes your making in real time.
3. The focusing system on the new Sony a7 III is the finest on the market, the eyeball recognition is incredible.
These are game changers on what I can deliver ...

PayPal .... PM me your email address and your physical address ;)
I must say the Sony a7 III can be a bit intimidating. It is capable of doing so many things via the menu but you've got to learn it. Not as easy as lets say my Canon 5DIII but the results are very positive.
I now have a good basic understanding of the camera. The Godox / Flashpoint is a bit tricky to incorporate with the Sony but once you have it figured out it's an easy system to love.
I do have a full wedding coming up on the 27th and I'll be putting all the new equipment to test, I'll have a further update after the wedding.
So I have the a7 III body, 35mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.8 and the 24-105 f/4 lenses.
I have (2) Godox 860 spped lights, one 350 Godox speed light and the new Flashpoint 600 mono flash ... will be a fun nigt for sure.
Impressive mono light ... going to have some fun with it
