I found a Nikon EOS T5 on QVC with a zoom lens, macro mode, and bag, etc...for what a body alone usually costs? I have an older Minolta X-700 which is great, but not digital. And no one develops anymore. Well, Walmart, etc...not good quality? I never did learn how to really use it. But a great camera in it's day. LOVE your pix. I tried to post a couple from last summer of my horses, but it wouldn't load? Don't know what I did...:) S.

Thanks again. I did have problems uploading pics too. Then I realized that my pics were too large. It went fine after I resized it. It may work for you too. I will look forward to seeing your pics.

you're very welcome! :) I hope I can do this soon. Just ordered a new camera...and so anxious!

Sure you can do it. Congratulations in advance for the new camera. Which one did you go for? I've been planning to upgrade too. Don't see it happening soon though.

Nice! Particularly like the third -- an Ascalaphid, a non-pit-making antlion in the order Neuroptera to us old bug people, not sure of recent changes.

Thank you relbugman. You are right. The third one is commonly known as Owlfly and belongs to Ascalaphid family. I am not very well versed in the scientific names of the bugs, but for someone like me there is always 'Google' :)

I took this photo today of a Bee in good detail with the Tamron 150-600mm @ 600mm.
The distance was about 8-10 feet.
Again, all my shots are hand-held.

Great shot Regis. Superb details indeed.

I am thinking of buying a used 2x Kenko Pro 300 to use with my 70-200mm Canon "L" lens. I already own the 1.4x Kenko Pro 300 and it does a nice job... I didn't get the 2x or 3x Kenko TCs because I heard that they degrade the lens too much... I think I'll get the TC even if it is mediocre because the price is right. My friend is selling it for $50 and I am trying it out now... I'll have to use it for a while to learn how to use it and see how it works... but I think I'll give him $50 for it anyway. The 2x will push my 200mm up to a 400mm and will give me more reach. I don't expect it to be as sharp as the 1.4x but for $50 I can use it...

P.S. It's too cool to leave my window up very long... I snapped these and then closed the window... It has been cloudy and cool here for the past few days... not the best conditions to test the 2x Kenko TC...

Hi folks, I was determined to capture a better shot of my visiting Blue Jay friend. Lucky for me...he landed on the ground nearby, and I was ready! Think he felt bad about not posing earlier and crapping on my lawn.

Superb shot. Vivid colors and good details.
