Last week my wife and I road the Cass Scenic Railroad to the top of Bald Knob, West Virginia’s third highest mountain. Cass is community established in the early 1900’s solely as a lumbering center. The train engine (circa 1910) is powered by steam produced from burning coal. From 1910 to 1930 the train hauled 126,000 board feet of timber per day. Beautiful scenery and great experience!
“Mr. Cool”, Pre-Prom Portrait of Grandson Robby. Enlarge and look closely at the reflection in the shades of this young upstart to see the real “Mr. Cool” behind the camera!!! LOL!
Belle Isle Yacht Club and Villas is located on Winyah Bay about 6 miles south of Georgetown SC. It sits on the site of a pre Civil War plantation and has an abundance of azaleas some of which are over one hundred years old and over 12 feet tall.
As one who continually tries to photograph white birds without blowout and who fails more than he succeeds, I salute you for these splendid shots. All well done!!!!
