I have both the Canon and Tamron. Purchased the Tamron 4 years ago. The auto focus died after 2 years. Tamron honored the 7 year warranty and repaired lens and have had no trouble since. I acquired the Canon recently from a friend. Took same shots from each lens (on auto) and showed them to a photographer friend of mine. He said, although he is prone to pick the Canon over the Tamron, he could find little difference in the two. Hope this helps.
Have had this wide zoom lens for a few years and have used about 5 times. I purchased this in one of those "got to buy something" moments. Anyway, instead of taking up space in my bag, I would like to sell this like brand new lens. My motives aren't exactly pure, I want to buy a 100-400 Canon L lens and need the money.
From the pics you can see what is included, lens, hood, both caps and original box. There are no marks on body of lens and glass is pristine . Canon mount.
I will include a link from Amazon to show current value. New $524 used$455.
Will sell for $300, you pay shipping. Send a pm and I will get back to you.
Thanks for looking

Thanks GP, and you are right they are processed. I will inquire if anyone has a slide/neg scanner.
Thanks for the info.
Recently, while cleaning out my Dad's stuff, I found approx 30 b&w negatives from 1957. WOW. It was a family reunion at our home. Most of the people are gone and these are the only photos I have of most of them.
Now the problem. I cannot find anyone to process them. Tried Wally (walmart) Rite Aid, Walgreens, Adorama, and a few local shops. The snag seems to be the film , 127, no processes this type film.
Does anyone know where I can get photos made?
Thanks in advance.
FYI It is 4:15 EST and Adorama has Lightroom 5 on sale for $72. According to my email from them, the sale lasts only 2 hrs.
I checked B&H and their price is $109.

Photos from Selphy are very durable. We have had some on display in a group of pics for quite a while. They show no sign of fading.
If you flip the picture over it is pre printed as a post card for mailing.
I think you will like it. I buy refills on Amazon and it averages to approx $.13 per print.
I have a Selphy 900. Unlike inkjet or laser printers, this uses a process called Dye-sublimation. Years ago I purchased a Sony Dye Sub printer that printed the 4x6 cards same as the Canon. Great little printer with super quality pics. When I switched to a Mac the Sony was not compatible. Searched for another printer the same type and could find nothing but the Selphy( other than a $1000 plus).
The multi pass is due to the separate colors applied. Quality of the Selphy is not as good as the Sony but adequate. I live with it. For the price it is a decent little printer. Hope this helps.
Thanks, could have been brighter.
