FYI It is 4:15 EST and Adorama has Lightroom 5 on sale for $72. According to my email from them, the sale lasts only 2 hrs.
I checked B&H and their price is $109.
Watchful
Can I ask you guys input about tethering? I just read adobe photo lightroom is where its done.
Problem-Rebel T3 and T2i, both pawn shop items (no software) Computer Gateway 64 bit, relatively new. (scanned and acknowledged as 64bit by Canon.com/usa)
In my attempts to open the software after download the error reads that the software is not compatible with a 32 bit computer. So I'm am up the creek, no paddle?
32 bits, not compatible? Are you using a pirated software?
LR installs either 32 or 64 depending on OS so if it installs only one version (64) it seems rather odd.
If legal, download the latest version (for your LR #) and reinstall with that, using your normal reg number.

It is kind of like hitting a brick wall, I was hoping you guys would say go ahead and upload the light room thingy and it will seek out to destroy my camera any way.
Without specific software?
The Canon download sight did scan and confirm witch computer I had before I could click the download. That's what makes me wonder if the light room can do that stuff too. Did you need a third program to tether in the light room? Meaning the disk that came with the computer? About Adobe, how many does a person need I don't know what it is but I have
Adobe Air 2.7.0.19480
Adobe 11 Flash player ActiveX and Flash player 11 Plugin both 11.9.900.117 and
Adobe Reader X (10.1.8) MUI 10.1.8 should I try to access that stuff and find a light room in there or just Google adobe light room.
I should have an account with all these other features? does that matter?
I don't remember registering for one but it seems to know me when it's time to auto update
So Lightroom came with the camera?
To tether the camera to the PC you only need the manufacturer USB cord and a long extension if you want to control the camera from a distance.
Download the latest upgrade from your Lightroom version from the Adobe site. THAT will at the very least eliminate the 64bit error message.

Thank you so much I will, and I have a 15 ft USB cord that fits the Canons mini USB port I found at the AS-IS (goodwill) for 1 dollar
