The secret that they don't want you to know is that MOST people in MOST situations should just stick to their cellular phone cameras. Back in the 1960s, this would have been the Kodak 104 instamatic, point and shoot. The other part of this secret is that people who go and buy boatloads of gear at the camera store end up shooting about 3000 shots with them, never printing anything, and then selling them to people like me for cheap and THEN I use them like they were meant to be used at 30 cents on the dollar! If you aren't will to go and BUY the Magic Lantern book on your camera and read it through, cover to cover, you will NEVER know how to use and justify the purchase of 5K of camera (or anything else for that matter) gear.

That's what my kids tell me but as much as I'd love to see that hallowed ground I don't believe I ever will.

I must pass along an experience. I lived for many years in South Dakota. At one point I traveled to the Little Big Horn.
There's a memorial there of course and seeing that place, seeing the stones all laid out where soldiers fell made the hair on the back on my neck stand up and dance. That was a long time ago but a memory I won't forget. I have the feeling the same would happen to me at Gettysburg.
