I have a very good car-fib tripod, but on this day, I was just walking around the area while waiting to meet some friends for lunch, then heading off to a concert to do some shooting. No room for a tripod!

Thanks to all for the comments. I would've taken some bracketed shots and brought them into Photomatix, but as I was just walking around without a tripod, it was not an option.

Agree that the original comment is not racist (also tend to agree that we are throwing that word around a bit too loosely), but the author of the "unwed girls" comment is a nutjob.

I don't have the number handy, but try a phone app called "Get Human". It offers phone numbers or keypad options that can lead you to a live body.

Very odd that the darkness is only in two corners. Almost suggests that the hood was put on crooked.

Great shots, sir! I find that concert shooting is a bitch, but tremendous fun! I also find that many shots like these come out very well when rendered in monochrome.

Thanks Dug. I intentionally took focus off his face and onto his gloves for that one. Nad is an extremely talented performer and a wonderful photographic subject.

Every now and again I get the opportunity to shoot some of my musicians. Last week, I shot five Steve Hackett concerts. I'm rather pleased with these (comments welcome)
