Great shot ( and lucky, too!) I would definitely enter it. Good Luck. Let us know if you win!

Just wondering if any of my fellow photographers have built a website - maybe to advertise your work or just to show your images online? I am interested in your designs if you don't mind sharing them here.

This is mine:

All and any comments for improvement gratefully received

Where did you go to start one? Does it cost a lot, mine would be basically just for me and a few close friends to share with.

How does on use and old flash like Vivitar 283 as a remote? Please elaborate. Thanks, Chian

I don't know, Chian, I have never used it that way, sorry!

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving probably isn't for you! (LOL)!
Having said that, I fully understand why you are doing that. I, personally am quitting on my DSLR's, the digital thing ain't working out for me as much as I hoped, so I am going back to good old film! I will soon post all of the digital stuff here for a fire sale. 3 Pentax plus some lenses and a flash unit. Good luck to you and just have fun with what ever you do!

This is not unusual , during long term storage the capacitor will die, sometimes you can reform the Cap. using a 110v power supply if you still have it. plug it in turn the flash on and try pushing the test button every time the ready light comes on, this may or may not work but it is worth a try if it does work it will take a good while to get a full charge. To answer your question about repair, it would not be cost effective to have repaired if repair is available.
I fire my studio strobes at least once a year just to keep them alive.

It's alive again!!! I took your advice and plugged it in with the power supply for a few hours, fired it on and off, today, I put in fresh batteries, and it charged right up! Thanks again! I won't let that happen again! As an aside, before I tried that, I found a Vivatar 352 on eBay cheap, the seller says it works great so I bought that one. I had one of those so many years ago, I don't remember what happened to it, so now, I have 2 good flash units. My thanks one more time!

It has been put away for at least 5 years. I forgot I had it, since my last move. It won't charge with new batteries, and will fire only once with the SB-4 Power Supply plugged in. There were no AA batteries stored in it. I'm sure it is a small problem to get it working again, but can anyone tell me who I can send it to?

I would really appreciate any advice. Thanks to all!

Call this a two subject composition. First a model in the studio posed against a white background. Then, a shot of the Biyodo Temple in Hawaii, a place I was fortunate to visit a dozen years ago. Put them together in Photoshop and add a white vignette to tie it together. The model wasn't even Asian. Comments always appreciated.

OMG! WELL DONE!!!! I absolutely love it! If I compare that to most of my shots, they would probably be deleted, Yours is the high bar I try to hit! Again, nicely done!

I wonder how many viewers actually have the glasses to see this in 3-D?

I do, they make quite a difference.

As I see more and more of the photos of this lovely young lady, I can't help thinking just how strong and athletic she actually is. Just how long did this session take? I know she must have gotten tired! ( or at least I think so) Anyway, please give her my thanks for being such a sport! She is AWESOME!
