Brent IMHO it is a great image. I would include one of your boarders in the image. That would make it very dynamic.

Amazing capture. Certainly a wonderful photo. All depends on the contest. Some research on past winners, emphasis of the contest, judges etc. would inform your decision. On the other hand, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I hear ya about judges........I entered what I thought was a wonderful photo into the Orange County Fair contest and the photo didn't even get accepted let alone get some kind of award. I entered the same photo into my community contest and it won first place. It's all about what the judges like or don't like.

Is it a composite?
I'm confused by the rays of sunshine implying the sun is overhead, whereas rainbows are usually if not always 180 degrees opposite the sun. Just curious.
