I don't see this photo as restored to be honest . I see it as changed and repaired photo .. It loses some of the old / aged look of the original, without the black framing.

Here is an example of what it can look like done as follows .. I did this in 15 min so it is not the best . but to show you it can be done. I used content aware to remove the white chimney. then used clone stamp to clean it up just a little .. Then I fixed the fence in the lower right .. Clone stamp again, copy top then down to fix fence.. Red Car next. Again clone stamp selected the open window and matched it to the other, covering part of the car.. then selected the other side of the closed window. to fill in the car section between windows .. then spot heal the wall under the open window to get ride of the white sections.. then clone stamp that section across to the right covering the car body .... then clone stamp from the open window wall to the parking area .. Covering the bottom of the car to the parking area .. .. some little clean up touch ups . Red Car gone .. Dumpster .. Clone stamp from the open window to left removing most of the top 2/3 of the dumpster . then clone stamp parking lot are at bottom of photo from left to right removing bottom of dumpster to the curb all the way across where car was . clean up some .. little clone stamping to clean up the building corner and curb. Parking lot on corrected side is little darker .. quick select took and adjust lighting just a little .. Little clone stamp fix on stairs at left of building. Spot fix the bright white right spot of the window . was too eye catching.. So you really can do this with 3 tools and time time . and practice ..

I'm new to using Photoshop CC. Have used Lightroom for a long time. I cannot remove the dumpster, the red vehicle, what appears to be a chimney (whiter in color) on the left roofline and the remains of a vehicle in the lower right. And as for the vehicle in the lower right, why when trying to remove it, white pixels remain no matter where I get a sample from? Your help will be truly appreciated! Thank You in advance

1939 Studebaker Champion Coupe

MT Shooter wrote:
Definitely NOT a Mercury, I think the Studebaker badge on the grille is a good clue as to make. As for year and model I would have to research it but it looks like 1939 Studebaker Champion Coupe to me.

As for the silver custom, I think it was originally built as a 1934 Ford Tudor.

OR you could buy a small generator as back up . I am willing to bet also cast a lot less than this installation. smile

I love the photo sequence ..
Photo 2 - middle is slightly out of focus .
The 3rd is very sharp .. I do notice dust . when doing this type of shot, you should use a soft brush to clean the item and make it free of the dust n lint. over all it was a nice job .

Here is my fix on the photo

A local pub was sponsoring a family friendly Toys for Tots benefit on Sunday p.m. with 6 bands providing the entertainment. I was alternating shooting w/o flash for band shots & w/flash for some candids around the room.
I caught this little girl with Santa & noticed my flash was off. I was ready to toss it but the expression was priceless & was wondering if it is in anyway salvageable?

I love this photo and concept . The only thing I find distracting from it is 2 things. Number 1 is the date time stamp .. I NEVER use it, unless it is a surveillance photo and it needs to be documented. Number 2 is the bottom of the photo should have been cropped to remove the long solid part as it also is a eye catcher .. pulling the eye to it and in my opinion a big distraction from the beauty of the photo over all .

You can shoot the photo very early morning or just after sunset . that will almost eliminate the shadows.

Use a white or black back drop and floor base the same . will give the illusion of "floating" . and some proper lighting.

I have a client who wants me to photograph this piece without a busy background. I was going to use a white backdrop. Not sure about the lighting since I've not photographed a piece like this before. The shadows would be a challenge. I may need several lights. Any advice would be useful.
