I wonder if you realize that this thread has been dead for 9 years. It probably would have been better for you to create a new thread with your question.

Having said that, I'm curious what 16-28 mm lens you are referring to. I also shoot a Canon 70 Mark II. Are you referring to the Tokina 16-28 mm f/2.8 lens? If not, what is the specific model of this lens and what is the maximum aperture?

Assuming you described the focal range properly, It goes from wide angle to very short telephoto. Unless you're fairly close to your subjects or the unnamed space where you will be photographing is small, you may need to do a lot of cropping depending on what the goals are. Will the subjects be moving or will they be static? Is this a sports venue? You really haven't given us much to go on.

Hello. This really shows how long ago since I’ve been on here and I also thought a thread this old can still signal anyone. I did think about creating a new thread but people always told me to look at old threads that may answer my question. Anyway, correction on my post, I have a Canon 16-35mm f/4L IS USM wide lens. Subjects will be static and at a church setting during a virtual service. I will be basically taking shots of crew set-up and sermon as well as after service shots of key personnel.

I have a 16-28 mm lens but the highest aperture I have on it is an f4.0L. I am planning to take indoor pictures in a setting that have fluorescent lighting. I know I have to pay attention to my shutter and ISO especially that I will be moving around. Any recommendations as to what my range of settings should be considered or keep an eye on when taking shots? I have a canon 7D mark II. I would use my zoom lens but there will be times I will have close-up shots unannounced and really don't have time to switch lens. I just want to be dependent on one as much as possible. Any advice?

My camera does have a slot for HDMI. I can try going that route. Thanks.

I've noticed when shooting video on my camera, it would shut down after a short time. Then eventually I would even have a shorter time to record. I found this out due to a bulb that is used while recording and when exposed for
so long, it will shut down to cool off. I've also been told that my settings may need to be adjusted i.e., the size of my SD card needs to be increased which I don't think I have an issue as I'm using a 32G with nothing on it, video quality settings may be too high on the camera. Is this accurate? I've increased gigs on my card lowered the video settings. Or is there another way to continue to record longer without this kind of interruption I'm having? Any help would be appreciated.

Ok. I noticed my flash does go off but all
I see is still black hoping only to see the subject I took the picture of. Are you saying the ND filters will solve this issue?

Thanks guys! Appreciate the advice. Reason for this is that I was trying to follow instructions on how take a picture using the low key lighting method. With just my D90, SB600 flash and two pocket wizards, I'm just not getting the shot I need.

Can someone forward me a link or to another post that is on here that explains how you can change the shutter speed to 1/8000? My camera shutter speed goes up to 1/4000 but was told there are tweeks to get my camera to go past that. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

You might want to also resize the photos if this hasn't been mentioned yet in order for them to send. This also happened to me and I found out that they had to be a certain size to send. It also allows others to open and view it when they receive it through email. You may have to risk in losing pixelation but if you don't want that, Dropbox, thumb drive, or CD works perfect. =)

I was using manual but I thought it didn't matter what mode I was in.

Yes. But at certain angles and distances, it doesn't fire off especially if I'm shooting at a narrow angle when my flash has to be positioned in a spot that can't be possible to fire using the wireless.

I have a nikon d90 and had me flash settings on the camera to FP in order for my SB600 to flash at ISO speeds over 250. It still came out half exposed. When I do this in daylight outside, it works fine.

I'm not a pro photographer but aspiring to become one someday. I bought me two used pocket wizards but what I thought would be easy is starting to be difficult. Whether I set my wizard 5-10 ft apart I am always getting a half exposure. I always notice this when I'm shooting indoors and an ISO of over 200. Can someone help me learn how to correct this? I thought I've tried everything? The other day I used inside an abandoned building, had my settings at Manual Mode, ISO of about 250, aperture of F8, and shooting at about 8ft.
