Can someone forward me a link or to another post that is on here that explains how you can change the shutter speed to 1/8000? My camera shutter speed goes up to 1/4000 but was told there are tweeks to get my camera to go past that. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

The fastest shutter speed the D90 is capable of is 1/4000 sec, there is no way to make it shoot at 1/8000 sec as the shutter is not physically capable of shooting that fast in that body.

The highest shutter speed is mechanical. No software hack can change it. But if you take it apart you can make some mechanical adjustment like spring tension.

Thanks guys! Appreciate the advice. Reason for this is that I was trying to follow instructions on how take a picture using the low key lighting method. With just my D90, SB600 flash and two pocket wizards, I'm just not getting the shot I need.

That's what you need ND filters for.

Ok. I noticed my flash does go off but all
I see is still black hoping only to see the subject I took the picture of. Are you saying the ND filters will solve this issue?
