Haha such a simple thing but that would make life alot easier in the processing side instead of starring at your pics for 5 minutes. Cheers for that :)

Another hint:
Take a first picture twice. First with a one finger front of your lens. Then on the last picture, take it again with two fingers front of your lens. When you download your pictures, it is easy to find your panorama series between those pictures with your fingers.

Iv recently read the reviews on this lense that's labeled with many brand names ie bower, samyang,Vitara etc but are made in the same factory.ppl seem to be raving about this and is now labeled as one of the best portrait lens.it gives fantastic boken and crop subjects so iv read anyway.the price is very appealing at $350 give or take.bad points no af but who cares if your like me and manual focus anyway.
As usual it's not a question of help but a info feed on ppl who own or used one.

Iv recently started using vintage lenses and the results will amaze.there are alot of reviews on utube etc on this.but as iv got a eos 1.4 it's ok but compared to my pentax asahi 1.2 which has been adapted to fix my full frame it's amazing and compares to a Canon L series.the asahi 50mm 1.4 is crisp with beautiful boken and costs only $100 of eBay then $10 for an adaptor. Basically iv stopped buying L series lenses! Gd luck n do your research

Well I'm a big street photographer and im scratching my head that a 35mm isn't wide enough unless you're using a crop sensor body!
I know you listed what body you use but I'm a Canon user and not sure what the spec's of the d7000 is.I use a full frame body and find a 35mm too wide and tend to use my 50mm (that's personal choice). But I do have a 24-70 mm that I take when traveling and love it.Good luck with your choice!

Sorry but to put I rate the pentax m42 50mm 1.4 compared to my l series 50mm 1.2 much better and sharper with better broken. That's a $100 lens V's a $3000 lens!

Still sorry 7d beats over all.can handle high iso without noise n accepted efs n ef lenses.very solid built check my previous post link.weather proof well I had mine covered in snow etc so can handle low temps to humid countries.also if budget is an issue the m42 pentax lenses with an adaptor works very well.compared to a l series lense the asahi pentax are rated n and work very well for next to nothing money spent!

For fast thinking I generally do street photography so using manual setting aren't always the best as it takes time to setup the shot properly.
Try I'm not sure what camera ur using but put it in ap (nikon I'm guessing) but I use av (canon).

The 7d works really well in low light when set at high iso. It's one of the highly rated canon bodies in low light.
quote=jdubu]Wow, you don't give yourself much time to prepare for this event do you?

Your equipment is good for starting, although you don't say what the speed is on your 70-200. One thing you don't list is any additional lighting you may have.

General advice is look up, watch and read as much as you can on the subject NOW, go to the church and shoot some with different lens/camera combos from angles you know will be allowed and remember your settings for good exposures. You can shoot manual, AV or TV, it all depends on what you believe is important. No idea of your skill level, so what are you comfortable with? If you only set to P, then you'll be taking a lot of snapshots and machine gun shooting. Exposure settings you have to figure out based on the situation. There aren't any standard 'this is a wedding exposure setting'.

A off camera speedlight with diffusion will be of great benefit for reception and formals.

You have a lot of homework and practice to accomplish in a week. Otherwise... there are folks here who will advise you not to attempt this...

edit: I see you listed the 70-200 as an f4, which is a bit slow for ambient light in the typical church. With the 6D, you can push the iso a lot to compensate, not so much on the 7D.[/quote]

Hmm now first of all I tried the fd lense with an adaptor.works ok but I wouldn't rave about it.
Now a local photographer that mainly does portraits n wedding photo posts on a photography club page I sometimes checkout. I noticed some of his pics had a yellow tinge to them.i asked him how he made that effect that looks vintage.his reply was it's a m42 lense that's screw mount and produced in the 600. Now I was very suprised as the fd was disappointing and his photos were crisp with beautiful boka.
After some research I found a pentax m42 50 mm f 1.4 for $150 and an adaptor that I was told to get as he went through 4 before he found the right one.
Now I have to wait before I can play :(.
My question lol sorry I can babble!is simply has anyone used a m42 on a modern body n if so what do u think?

I only shoot in manual n manual focus.

Thank you guys for the replys. Now I tested out what everyone suggested and came out trumps.the iso n shutter speed is controlled via the camera.the f stop is via the lense.but the light meter is out I need to over expose the shot by two marks to get satisfactory light.plus if I go under fstop 2.8 my subject will ghost abit like a soft focus lense.otherwise I'm happy with the result for as u guys said a 40 yr old fd lense n a fit dioxide pro adaptor.i may as it was a test find a 60 mm fd lense
